That's what intrigues me. I think it was Hawkins said in the case of unintentional deaths most perps crack pretty quickly.

I don't think that's the case. The Prado seems to be perfectly drivable and it was a the BCs home when police arrived. Where would they hide the other car, when police searched everything that Friday? I believe things are much more simple. He borrowed the car after his and her car were impounded.
Just going back through old reports...I don't recall this ever being mentioned...

Mr Baden-Clay claimed he said a brief goodbye to his 43-year-old wife as she left their rural Brookfield home, in Brisbane's west, to go for a walk about 10pm on Thursday, April 19.
He has said he woke the next morning to find her missing and dialled triple-0 about 7.30am.

Mr Baden-Clay sought legal advice after plain clothes detectives seized yesterday a number of items and a laptop from the Kenmore home of his parents where he has been staying with his young daughters since his wife's disappearance.
Police also searched his Century 21 Real Estate office in Taringa yesterday after spending four hours interviewing a woman, believed to be his former colleague, on Wednesday.
Yesterday, police removed the blue and white tape barring entry to the Baden-Clay family home, allowing Mr Baden-Clay to return for the first time since reporting his wife missing.
I really do not believe NBC was at the bus stop. If anyone was there it was probably some homeless guy.

Thanks, I had not read this before. In here GBC also thanks everybody for their efforts, prayers, etc. and requests privacy.
How absolutely horrible will this sound though if he's the one responsible.
The area is not known for the homeless and Squizzey has already verified it. Squizzey, do you know which stop it was on the roundabout?
Also the car wash - not sure there is a car wash at the Caltex near Woollies - I go there all the time and I'm going to check in the morning as I need fuel and report back.

I found a few things mentioned in the article below quite interesting.
This article was published on Friday 27 April, one week after Allison was reported missing.

GBC lawyering up after his parents home was raided makes more sense to me than him engaging a lawyer on the same day as he reported Allison missing, as we've been led to believe.
So it would seem that TM was interviewed on Wednesday 25 April, five days after Allison was reported missing. Perhaps this is one reason why GBC and OW looked a tad nervous in the video. They were worried that the affair would be discovered by the media and that really wouldn't look good, considering Allison was now missing!
Yesterday being Thursday 26 April. So the house was cordoned off as a crime scene for six days. IMO that is a long time unless there was a lot of evidence to collect.
BBM:
MOO.

My questions were ignored to.
I think this is where the hired lawyer on first day came from...

Within hours, Brookfield's streets were being combed by police. Residents were doorknocked several times by officers asking about a missing woman. One local, spoken to three times on the Friday, was told the couple had had an argument and Mrs Baden-Clay had left the house and not returned.
The Courier-Mail understands it was that day, as police searched for his wife, that Mr Baden-Clay contacted a lawyer. He is now represented by Gold Coast criminal lawyer Darren Mahony.

A "DEVASTATED'' Gerard Baden-Clay has hired a second lawyer on the same day police confirmed that his wife Allison had been murdered

As we all know..."second lawyer" referred to in above report is the barrister.
