Im shocked to see you write this. There has never been an impression put forward that the neighbours were suspects here. I thought you were totally against rumour mongering grannie....and now you have come up with a rip snorter.

Not cutting it down....as anything is a possibility...Not so sure how it ties in though. Any thoughts on how the neighbours tie into this investigation, other than a barking dog.?

At A residence on Brookfield road? they didn't say her residence... Dunno

I never said that the neighbours are or should be suspects. But once the police said that they do not rule anyone out (as a suspect?), then they have to check everything and everyone. Otherwise, the only "available" kind of POI is GBC, and this limits the investigation. Somebody has murdered Allison. If it's not GBC, then who? How to identify that someone? The newspapers write only about people close to the victim, and rightfully so. JMO.

Neighbours can mean a few places.....But, you are right, because technically they lived on Boscombe, didnt they? (second from corner)....Neighbourse could means Corner house (ncr Brookfield and Boscombe), house across Brookfield Road?.....Hmmmmm Or even along Boscombe

Nah, I just dont think so....Sorry :)

If it is correct and the police went to the BC's that night Scraps may turn out to be a hero. Without his barking there may never have been an alert to anything being astray at the home. Allison may not have been reported missing for longer and who knows what the killer/s might have tried to set up, in order to throw the Police off the scent. JMO

With the utmost respect MD.. My experience of dogs barking is someone entering their territory. I have new neighbors that verbally fight a lot and don't spark the dogs interest at all. However, strangers walking past do alert him. Emphasis on strangers because there is a bus stop in front of the house that stops at 4am, 5am and 6.45am and he knows who aren't the regulars. This is my own personal experience of a trained guard dog.

Just curious as to how it would stand up in any trial if the police had already stated that someone was not a POI and then found that they were actually the perpetrator...Would it make any difference with the defence lawyers?

He has not said that GBC is NOT a person of interest. You have asked this several times..........
Should Det Ainsworth make that comment about me I would be concerned and expect to get my tail feathers plucked.
They have their reasons for making comments like that. Let me assure you that if Det Mark Ainsworth turns up at your door he will not be there to read the rosary.

May be simply none of your business I am not telling you?

As someone mentioned earlier, the police might want the true suspect think that he is out of their radar.

Ok mystery person grannie, what are you not telling us then?

Are you always playing devil's advocate about every:

1. theory
2. fact
3. evidence stated
4. MSM comment

5. Or POST??????

Would really help us sleuthers, because if we think we are taking a step forwards, it may be slipping backwards if we don't know/understand your motive for Allison's murder solving.

Thanks in anticipation

I can confirm that. Dogs bark at strangers. Not always, but if they do, it has to be a stranger.

Yep....Precisely Flinders. Mine (german shepherd) is so in tune, she barks differently, when hubby isnt home. When he is home, it is like an alerting bark toward strangers. When hubby isnt home, it is like she has taken over the role of protector.......and lets people know, "DONT COME IN....UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR LEG CHEWED OFF"........In reality, she is a softie though....Bark definitely louder than her bite.
