I don't know how many cars would pass by that area at the time of night most likely(going by the police possible time frame). But you would think someone might have noticed a car parked up there at that time of night. Unless this is not unusual(??), but then again after all the media reprots you'd think maybe it would jog someones memory and they report it.
This has gotten me thinking... Why haven't the police asked the public to come forward if they had noticed any cars parked by the bridge or observed any strange activity around that area? Why are they only asking about activity on the kenmore round about?

Interestingly I was looking at the alleged mistress's twitter account and she mentions what Gerard's personalized plate is. Yes all you do gooders will be outraged that I mentioned this..(It's nothing at all incriminating, was just surprised to see his name mentioned) Obviously I can't link but you can do your own looking.

Can you pm me the twitter handle???

Please recap for me because I am a bit lost on this. How long did it take from when she was missing to her husband reporting it? And from what I'm reading (just started yesterday trying to learn about this case) he was the last to see her alive?

And was he staying at his parent's house? Why did they search there? Sorry for the elementary questions but the new sources I read last night didn't answer those two questions for me. :tyou:

Husband reported that the last time he saw Allison was 10pm on the Thursday night when he went to bed and she was watching a TV show. He claimed he woke up the next morning and she was not there. He reported her missing at 7.30am. She apparently usually goes for a walk around 6am or 6.30am. Some people have felt that 7.30am is a bit too early to call the police unless you already knew she wasn't coming back.

Another area of discussion has been why the police moved in so quickly and started a massive air & ground search of a wide area on the first day. In missing persons cases they don't start those kind of full scale searches until 24 hours unless there is a special reason. The police stated the reason they did so was because of 'certain observations' they made when they went to the house. The husband, Gerard Baden-Clay (GBC) was said to have a scratch on his face which can be faintly seen in some media photos. It has been rumoured he also had scratches on his chest, and bruising.

Police declared the home a crime scene, and GBC moved over to his parents house in the next suburb. There were reports (not confirmed) that the children had slept over the night before at paternal Grandparents house so if that's the case they would have already been there. Police searched the Baden-Clay home, but also the home and shed of the Baden-Clays Snr (paternal grandparents). They removed several bags of items including a computer.

I think thats fairly close to the basics at the start.

I have wondered the same thing.

I don't know if gbc is guilty. IMO the strangest behaviour was from the very beginning when abc went "missing".
Why wouldn't he call the local hospitals first? Or check with police that there had been no accidents or pedestrians hit by vehicle etc?
Why go straight to reporting a missing person?
Also, the house being declared a crime scene is obviously a bell ringer. I wonder if he's attempted to " clean up" using harsh chemicals ex bleach which would smell very strongly and be very noticeable.
As to the interview with his sister and someone's claim he was on cocaine because of his pupils? He may well have been sedated by the doctor- his wife Has been declared deceased,or prescribed pain meds after his injury.
As for his demeanour, I don't know him personally, I am not familiar with his mannerisms or syntax but to apologise in the first breath... It's all very strange.
I hope closure is found for the Dickies.
I hope those poor girls can heal somewhere, in time and with love from their family.
I hope is Gbc is innocent then the damage done to his reputation can be undone.
It strikes me he may be covering up for someone.
All this is my opinion only.
Justice for Allison.

Some things you mentioned here bother me as well.

It's been mentioned in a couple of news reports that GBC called 000 (I'll try to find links tomorrow - too tired right now).

Why would you call 000??? That's an emergency number! If he just went down to the police station and filed a missing person report I assume they would treat it as a normal missing person case and wait the 24 hours before they do anything. If he was guilty, he could have bought himself another 12 hours to tidy up.

The house was declared a crime scene almost from the very start. The first attending officers 'made unspecified observations' that they reported to the detectives. The assumption we make is that this has to do with GBC looking guilty in some way.

There just seems to be a bit more to it than what's been reported.

GBC could have given the police information that justified a 000 call but this information has been withheld.

It's also occurred to me that GBC has been tried and found guilty by the public and the police haven't really done anything to correct this.

Either they know he's guilty and want to to make him sweat or.... the perp is someone else and they want him/her to feel totally complacent and think they are in clear. (I'm pretty sure I've heard of this being a police tactic).

Anyway, just my thoughts.

That is the most unusual thing about this case. It is not normal to declare a 'crime scene' as soon as someone is reported missing. The police managed to get a search warrant in a matter of hours. So, the great question is why did this happened so quickly and what observations did they make once arriving at the house. The husband (nor anybody else) has not been declared as a "person of interest" or "suspect" at this stage. Hope this helps understand the scenario.

If this is the situation, then we can declare the husband a Person of Interest for Websleuths' purposes. That means you can sleuth him, his background, etc. Just keep the spotlight on HIM and not other people. We had to remove a link to some pics of him because included were other people and even minors.

Good wrap of the overall picture. Just adding the families cars were impounded at first but were released. The computers have remained in police hands.. there was information of interest apparently on them. The police also were urgently searching for Allisons missing phone, which they were able to track within 150m of her house. (I am not sure if they did find it)

Kimster is it ok to declare a POI if the Police have not? Initially he was, then officially he wasn't, now there is a 'no comment' response from Police.

I haven't seen them ask for it recently. I'm guessing they've found it?

I did wonder, if they have found it or they are just more centred and interested in the round about and maybe if they can get what they need from that, they are not as concerned with the phone?? I wonder.

I have wondered the same thing.

IMO, once she was found under the bridge, people could have called CrimeStoppers and provided information. Most press articles have a note at the bottom requesting info be provided to CrimeStoppers.

The roundabout is something nobody would think about unless the police draw attention to it.

Yes that was my question. Again maybe the roundabout is more of the issue for them in proving or disproving something.

MISSING PERSONS REPORTING:

Question: Do you need to wait 24 hours before reporting a person missing?
You do not have to wait 24 hours to report someone as missing. If you have serious concerns for the safety and welfare of a person, and their whereabouts are unknown, then you may immediately report them missing to your local police. Police will take a report where there are concerns for safety and welfare and their whereabouts are unknown.

Very good point. Unless they have already got the evidence they need for that one. If they haven't, it does seem strange not to be calling for observations during certain hours.

For Websleuths purposes, it is okay. It means we can post a past criminal record, if any. It doesn't mean we can bash him or call him names. Be responsible. :)

Same thing with the Sim card, gloves, drink bottle & 'other personal items" they found. It was reported the sim card was ruled out but nothing more has been said about the the other items, particularly the gloves.

The roundabout intrigues me.

Perhaps the kids did stay at their grandparents on Thursday night. Maybe the kids were transported from one car to another? If it happened at anytime between the given hours I know I would think it was strange.

Then when the police arrived after the 000 call was made he could say he's been at home with the kids all night, hoping they wouldn't say anything.. but maybe they did?
