Is that a yellow trailer hitched to the back of the car?

I don't know the exact street (if someone could PM it to me that would rock - i've plotted out map for everything else) but from what someone said it's right near the roundabout that police were focussing on (cnr Moggill and Brookfield) which is south-east of BC house and east of the "hot zone" (Rafting Ground Rd/Winrock st area) where screams were heard, dogs upset and mobile phone last traced. Body was found south-west of house on Mt Crosby Rd - the tributaries that run into Kholo Creek are north/NW of bridge (which is just where Kholo Creek runs into Brisbane River).

TL;DR: So no, completely opposite direction.

Thank you.

No it's something in the back of the car port. Such a car would never be sullied with anything as utilitarian as that.

Four wheel drives in such suburbs are just used as a glorified family station wagon, that's a more effective traffic hazard for other drivers on the road, and more likely to roll on turns, and particularly effective at enabling you to run over small children in your own driveway...

From my understanding this is GBC's car? It looks to be parked in either a carport or fairly close to the house. I zoomed in to the front driver's side and noticed what looks to be drops of oil (or something more sinister) on the ground. Looking at the front of the car when enlarged it seems to be parked right up close to whatever is in front of it, a grate or something similar, so that anyone looking would not necessarily notice that the front end may have a dent which caused an oil leak?

This is all supposition on my part. Make of it what you will.

I can see the droplets, it could be either, as oil has a reddish tint to it. The cars were confiscated and taken away and QPS would have seen them. To me those droplets seem to be more like break fluid, due to the proximity of the tyre. Oil normally leaks more towards the middle of the car. IMO.

I'm not sure. At first I thought it was a piece of board. Here's a closer look.

Ok I'm just saying' here...

If I was to take a body out into the boonies to dispose of it I wouldn't be taking a Holden Captiva, I'd be more inclined to take the Prado.

Also, that front tyre looks like its been freshly scrubbed up against something such as a gutter etc.

Wow…only just finished catching up!!

I think Allison’s best friend actually said a lot in those first 2 sentences:

"That Friday was a busy day for her. She had a full-day conference in town and the kids were having a sleepover that night, so she would have got all her stuff ready," Mrs Walker said.

http://www.news.com.au/national/grief-for-lost-daughter/story-e6frfkvr-1226346331460

I always understood from this that the girls had the sleepover that Thursday night (not Friday) and were not home.

Friday was going to be a busy day for her – a full day conference, so she would be up early. I live about 5 minutes away from where she lived and fight the morning traffic every day (it’s horrendous!). To get to a conference in the city starting at 9am, very latest I would leave is 7.15am. I would organize all my stuff the night before and have it sitting somewhere ready to go.

Her friend said ‘so she would have got all her (not the kids) stuff ready’. She also said Allison was going to drop some stuff off to her (friend's) house after the conference (which would have been late).

I understood this to mean there was no sign of this – No sign she had prepared/organized anything.

Which leads me to think that maybe Allison either never came home that evening or wasn’t alive long enough to do any of this.

Could be why police made the statement that she could have been killed and taken to Kholo creek as early as 8pm on the Thursday???

Nice work on the photos - where/when are they from - do you have a date?

EDIT - maybe ignore this - it might just be reflection
That circular damage on the front looks to me like the sort of position where you'd have someone's head if you had them bent back over car and strangling them/ bashing head against bonnet ('hood' i think for Americans :) ).
Altho I don't know how you'd damage the paintwork like that... it's hard to see but it almost looks scratched or bubbled (as if by chemical solvent)

EDIT - i think what i was seeing is just a reflection of light through trees above or something? there's another reflection on the front as well

Yes it does look like a scrape of some kind. Would the Prado be a more reliable vehicle in the boonies?

Higher ground clearance in a prado would make things easier.

I do tend to think the same thing. I am sure they - at least I hope they have been spared much of knowing the speculation surrounding their father. If he did indeed do it I would think it would be best to let them have that time of 'innocence' (I know not right word after their mother has been killed, somehow their innocence has been ripped away a bit) with him to grieve for their mother before he too is taken away from them. Because at ultimately he is still their Daddy.

And again, sleep beckons, cause I am not sure if that made any sense..:offtobed:

It made perfect sense. I agree, I keep thinking of the girls wanting their Daddy if he wasnt there, they dont realise what he is capable of, and would just be devastated if he was taken away. I feel for them so much.

do you think the police will arrest before the funeral or after? assuming they have enough evidence for an arrest?

I hope it's before, I just hate to think that evidence is being buried at the same time (sorry to sound insensitive) and if GBC did do it it would be so sickening to see him there.

You are right! It reads as if there was no sign of her having prepared anything for the conference the next day (when the police arrived). I've always had the feeling that maybe Allison was going to drop off some of HER stuff at the friend house (clothes, toiletries, kids clothes, etc.) in preparation for leaving him either that weekend or soon. IMO.

Tried to sleep, am back.

Can I just say though the Prado has big Century 21 signage across the back window. So more easily recognized.

What about the fresh scuff marks on the concrete near drivers door.
Someone dragged maybe.

IMO once the Police have enough evidence to make an arrest, there won't be any niceties.

I think that way too. I don't know the Police thoughts of course. But I think those poor girls would have an even harder time without him there. Their world is already turned upside down, I hope and would think they have been shielded alot from all that has been said, rumoured, speculated.
