Laughing so hard.

Got this vision of someone having an affair at 4am.......and the wife in bed saying "let em.....Im not getting up at 4am to confront him.....Let him have his affair.....i'd rather snooze"....lol zzzzzzz

Well it's been bloody cold at 4am lately. I hate getting up to pee at that time so if my husbands having an affair she can have him.
More fool her being up at 4am :D

*puffing* I've FINALLY caught up with all the reading!!!

I recall that witnesses in the Daniel Morcombe investigation were hypnotised in an attempt to identify number plates or further info.

The person who posted in here about the husband on his way to Rocklea markets well over a week ago. Perhaps he is the witness. Do you think they may have tried hypnotherapy with him to deduce vehicle colours?

How long does it normally take for info like this to be released to the public?

I think the police choose wisely when to release certain info. Personally, I reckon they think this witness is pretty credible... and who knows, they could well have other info to back this up. So whether the information is 3weeks old or 2 days, they will only release what they want to. There's stuff we may never know, or it'll come out during the court case. I think the little trickles of info they are releasing would be playing havoc with the killer/s... which is what the police are probably hoping for.

Someone else has probably already mentioned this and i missed but did anyone else notice the photo of the sim card they found was not an I phone sim. It definately says she had an i phone. Also, as far as I am aware, they never said they found Alison's sim card just "a sim card". Maybe just those Tricky tricky little Policey people playing cat and mouse.

The old iPhones took one of those sims

Quite obviously this info is not new and has been with police for at least 3weeks

As per link: http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/...ry-disappearance/story-e6freoof-1226338290711
Ms Walton said in the days leading up to her disappearance, Allison was her usual self.

"I spoke to her the night before she disappeared on Thursday night and she seemed fine," she said.

"I saw her last week and she seemed normal, delightful - her normal, easygoing, beautiful-natured, thoughtful, kind-hearted self.

Just before Allison's disappearance, Olivia certainly sounded like she was on good terms with Allison.

NB: For some reason, this Courier Mail link cannot now be accessed!

This still remains in the unsure/unknown facts, but it seems that Gerard's sister Olivia may have been already here holidaying with her Parents;
Not sure either if she caught a flight down from Townsville, or she drove down in her own vehicle. (It may have been her vehicle in which Gerard had the accident at Indooroopilly.
We do know (fact) that she became involved with Gerard in talking a little to the Media before Allison's body was found; saying to them how much Gerard loved Allison.

In light of what is still hearsay with regard to Gerard and Allison being separated at the time of her disappearance, this does now seem rather strange; but then there are many, many oddities in this murder of Allison.

Could it be possible the two cars were caught on the traffic camera at the roundabout and then corroborated by the witness? MOO :moo:

Once again the obvious has been overlooked. Blue is one of the most uncommon car colors. Most blue cars are a type of pale/metallic/artic type of blue. Otherwise (far less common) the only blue used is a dark navy blue which at night would appear almost black.

The fact that the reported color is blue should make following this lead far easier than had a silver or red colour car been reported.

Yep...Really....to me, all one needs to do is go over to the Honda website. To me, Dyno Blue, matches the vehicle involved in the pileon accident.

Looks a bit bright on the honda website, or looks a bit dull in the pileon accident picture....If you go somewhere in the middle of the two....Dyno Blue.

Just a quick visit back.. You are right about different moniters. I found a couple of links and actually in both of them it does appear to be dark grey(though one could have blueish tinge). I can't find the pic where it looked really dark Navy. But as someone else mentioned, the colours can also look different in different lights. http://http://gibberjabble.wordpress.com/2012/05/07/24/

I think the bluish tinge might just be the reflection of the sky. I wish i could find the photo with the air bags and the person leaning into the passenger side door, but it seems a lot of articles have been removed from the internet over the course of the investigation.

Next time I follow a crime like this I'm going to save everything to my hard drive.

Hi. That's the sort of thing I mean. They could have other information, like what you said, and then this witness's claim backs up the other. It does seem to be what they've been after... they haven't really seemed to be asking for alot of information, it seems that they already knew quite alot. IMO

Been watching the footage of GBC and the media conversation.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c76CI6vtixI

How can he claim "I've spoken to the police about everything" and "I've tried to help the police as much as I can" when he wont even give a formal statement????

I've only watched this video without audio and even then it is still obvious to me that his behaviour not in line with what any ordinary person can expect to see. Even if someone hadn't been in that position and couldn't know for sure how they would react, I'd be willing to bet that this video shows a good example of how one would NOT react. All I see is a guy flirting with a pretty reporter and talking about himself as if it really mattered. Odd. IMO!

WSmum

A bit of local hearsay... A Kenmore friend told me that their friends husband was driving to work early the Friday morning (I believe to the Rocklea markets so early start like 4am). He was apparently driving over the Kholo Bridge and there was a car driving on it going the other way and moving very very slowly. It is my understanding this was reported to the police. It's information that is third hand but thought might be of interest

I know I've asked this before but it's still bothering me. Is there an official link that says the children's sleepover was Thursday night, or was it bad reporting or was it simply what Gerard told the police.

I can't get my head around sending 3 children for a sleepover on a school night, when they live opposite the school, and would be so much easier just for husband to get them ready for school. Apart from the fact that kids usually talk half the night if with their friends.

If they really were on a sleepover was it at grandparents?
I think this is such an important fact and would love to know the answer.
If they were at either house, they must know so much.
Would GBC have been better off tellingthe police the children were or weren't home?

Latest news story re 4WDs.

2. What thoughts do you have about why one car would be closely tailing the other car?

3. What thoughts do you have re the larger white 4WD only having parking lights on?

Maybe the white car is more easily identifiable b/c it is a business car with logos on it. It was following the other car (which had its lights on) closely b/c it needed to see where to go because its lights were off. Not sure about Oz, but in States if the headlights are not on, the lights that illuminate the license plate (number plate??) are not on, either....?

Best Friend confirmed in the C/M on weekend that the kids were in fact at a sleepover...I don't have link but it is a definte and has been posted a few times in the past few threads if you are interested in trawling through it all?

My brother just told me that he was in the understanding the BC's didn't have a blue car/4wd??? I'm just saying what he said i don't know for sure. And the person that seen the white van in the area contacted crimestoppers but they haven't mentioned it in any of the news reports???

Is it a rule that we can't refer to other cases hmmm well in a case currently before the courts involving the death of three young people the investigating officers received over 1500 pieces of information. It would blow your mind the calls that come through. Each has to be investigated as you just never know. anyhow I said that to say this lol The Police won't be telling us every piece of information just the bits which
1 they have established have a good chance of being correct
2 making it public won't give away the game plan
3 not too upsetting
4 public may be able to add to the info.

IMO:moo:
