The speculation won't stop until we have more information. That's just how it rolls with these cases.

Kind of like the old circle in a spiral thing...lol.

Hey 543, :seeya:

I'm a bit confused here. Why would Gerard turn off the phone? Do you mean if he was really guilty? So my understanding is that he's innocent and that's why he didn't turn off the phone. Is that right?

Firstly you say;

And then you say;

Urrgghh 543, you are really confusing me. :floorlaugh:

I am so laughing....I think what 543 means (im guessing)...lol is :-

She thinks there is nothing on the phone that is of significance (no calls or photos etc).

Though, thinks finding the phone, is significant.

Maybe she doesn't realise, that unless there is something of significance on that phone, then the phone is somewhat insignificant....Which is quite the contrary.

Hawkins was the man on this. Most things incl DNA two weeks but some toxicology tests could take up to months
It took months to get the toxicology report back when my boys dad died. But his was an accidental death. I'm sure that in cases where criminal activity is involved these would be rushed up the queue? Great for those, but sucky for those of us who have/had to wait.

I can imagine a movie about this case based purely on the speculation! Dozens of dramatized scenes of potential scenarios where the stars are all the people here contributing the content... Maybe the climax would be a websleuth actually hitting the nail on the head by pure chance and then they become a person of interest..... But we don't actually know which scenario it is. Remember Joan Lindsay only revealed the explanation for the disappearances of the girls in Picnic at Hanging Rock in her will? ( but so obscure I still didn't get a sense of closure when I read it). So off the subject but there were discussions a couple of threads ago about a movie title.... And we still don't have any more info to discuss and it's going around in circles, didn't think it would hurt to throw it in.

I think that the husband is innocent.

May I ask why you think this?? You seem to have made a few posts but as yet haven't answered any member's questions re your posts.

@543

I said this before but you may have missed it so I'll just repeat myself...

I can see your really convinced about the phone being left on as being significant.... So far I can't see why that is so important as there are loads of explanations as to why it was left on. Maybe whoever it was couldn't turn the phone off as they didn't know her iPhone pin. That's just one possible explanation out of many which I can think of off the top of my head as to why her iPhone was left on rather than switched off.

As far as I can tell your entire theory or theories is based around the phone, im just trying to point out that other theories are possible too.

I fail to see how her iPhone being left on OR off suggests anyone is innocent, or guilty.

Oh hawkins you little tease you. I'm guessing we won't hear back from you until after we hear something in the news. I am feeling really uneasy about your comment though,kind of sick in my stomach. How I'll sleep anyway I'm not sure now.

I have avoided replying to 543.....Do you know your numbers are really close to initials of people we are discussing, just pointing out a coincidence.

You are all on fire tonight and I have LOVED reading pretty much all of tonights posts. Please slow down though, I have things I have got to get done tomorrow : ) Night all x

I thought that 543's theory is that if the husband was the culprit he would switch the phone off. If it was a random attacker or a hit and run the phone would bounce away somewhere and they couldn't find it to switch it off.

Personally I can't see how this theory rules anybody out.

I think that the husband is innocent....I would just like to understand how and why people think that he's not. The phone ... it's obvious....he would turn it off!! Maybe I'm missing something here....that's why I asked.

I really believe that the phone has nothing of significance on it....because she had no time to react...she was probably dead by the time she hit the ground...and the phone went flying...hence no one can find the phone!!

The significance of finding the phone is exactly where poor Allison passed away and will proove how she died...eg...the phone is 3 to 5 meters from the road in bush with possibly some disturbance of gravel. Sigh...it's been a while...so the disturbance has gone already by other people pulling over, etc.

The phone is of great significance.

Hi 543
Thanks for your comments, what do you think happened to Allison? When did she die? How did she die and how did she get to Kholo Creek? I would appreciate your perspective on this.
Thanks

With his business going down the gurgler before the case even started, I dont know how he could prove he was defamed. Ladies in here (mums from the girls school) stipulating that he flirted with them overtly, to the point of them feeling uncomfortable and that many of those ladies husbands, viewed him as a tool. Although hurtful to him, I doubt, we could have defamed him anymore, than he already defamed himself.

yes an interesting one the defamation card. very tricky one as some in here have already pointed out. The claimant must prove that he/she/they have been the subject of verbal or written remarks that would make 'others' think less of them or affect their reputation.
Not sure if anyone could say anything here right now that would influence anyone in the wider community of thinking less than him of what they must already do..go figure

Ok seriously we need to stop with the phone thing as we are all getting totally confused and I think certain people would love if we all got confused and focused on other things. No??

I think 543 actually described their theory/theories in an earlier thread. Maybe you could search their posts and it will come up. (can you do that? I don't know, I'm on my phone or would be more helpful)
