he failed year 9 and then went to tafe didnt he??
yeah to become a "machanic" << he didn't spell it right (Mechanic.)

It seems to make sense to me, kid from broken home and rough area comes to australia, separated from his friends, with violent step father (so rumors say) and if this is so not very smart mother, has a miserable time in high school where it seems he struggled academically and socially, if he hadn't just stabbed 3 ppl to death i would really feel sorry for him.

Hello everyone
I am not here to say if JD is innocent or guilty, basically I have no idea either way. I do know one thing. None of this is adding up in my head, maybe it is LACK OF RELEASED FACTUAL info. So I started looking for answers else where to see what I could find in this state and come across this.
http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/news/south-australia/adelaide-police-searching-for-violent-parolee/story-e6frea83-1225957354164

That was on the news the other night. It would be totally unrelated though. There is nothing in this case that suggests to me the attack on the Rowes was simply random.

I agree! could be totally unrelated, I am just trying to make some sense of it all. I also looked him up on SAPOL to see what they had

But really I don't think any of us know, it's well known in town that CR and the alleged suspect were still engaged in some kind of relationship so if it is semen DNA then he could be an innocent kid in the wrong place at the wrong time. To make assumption of someone because of something they wrote on a social network isn't right, (or if you did you would have to look at both not just one because it was obvious even on bebo they were close) nor can you judge the kid on his mother, father or step fathers actions. Everybody digests situations in different ways. A lot of things just don't make sense with this....

There are quite a few more things than whats on his Bebo page that have me convinced though, nothing much on Bebo sets off distinct alarm bells for me but they all add to it. Like everyone else though, would just like to know why?

I am surprised no one else has come out with some more clues/suggestion about the white 4WD. Perhaps the Police know more about it now but there has been no need to say anything more about it now they have an arrest.

If he just went there to meet up with Chantelle,
Would he have walked there? or been dropped off by someone? - It seems unlikely to me because i cant imagine him walking home in bloody clothes and possibly with a weapon.

Would he have driven there?, if so what car? It has been said he had/did have a Magna or was that possibly just his mums car? and possibly recently had a newer car, i think i remember a Commodore mentioned on here.

No one has said they had seen a car stop at the house in the middle of the night apart from the white 4WD. Was he dropped off by somone and the 4WD left? I still think it is possible that he may have had his own getaway vehicle parked a street or 2 away maybe, but you never know, he could of just creeped along the back streets by foot un-noticed. There are a number of possibilities.

I have a specific question for the lady who wrote about her Son In Law driving the alleged suspect to the police station.

What was the alleged suspect's demeanour/mood at work after the crime and why didn't anyone at the workshop report his injuries as suspicious to the police (even anonymously)?.

Thank you

confirmation on the rape charge.

Cy, it would have been very easy for him to walk in the cloche of darkness, the streets are very poorly lite here. To be honest with you there is nothing at all that stands out to me that makes me think " yep there is no doubt, he did it" On the other hand, if the DNA was from a blood sample I would change my mind in a heartbeat! But the word in town is that is from semen. So I am not convinced. I look forward to more FACTS from the authorities being released!

She already answered this, its way back in the thread though. I am pretty sure he acted completely normal, apart from wearing long sleeves. He was such a mild mannered guy at work they just never suspected a thing. They saw his cuts, but often mechanics hands are covered in cuts so they ignored it. They teased him for not taking of his jacket but didn't think any more of it.
They also knew he had made statements to the police as did many people in the town, so I guess (perhaps) they thought that the police would have seen the cuts already? (guessing) Basically he acted completely normal and nothing suspicious.

Re: questions about mother

The alleged suspect's mother later married Australian BC, 45, in 2003 and it is thought the family emigrated the following year

How does he explain the cuts on his hands and arms and why was he hiding them all week? Does he have an explanation about this?

Not wanting to step on toes.. he was interviewed by police and let free to go to work etc. So he was "free" of the crime. Co-workers would assume he was safe.

If the DNA sample was from semen, I still struggle to see how he could be innocent from this.

Through a theory that he was innocent, he was at their house the night of the murder, having sexual relations with Chantelle.

If he wasn't the one who killed her, it's very coincidental that he has the cuts that he has, and that he slept with her on the night that she was murdered. It's also very strange that he has been trying to hide the cuts all week by wearing a long sleeved jacket.

It's also surprising that if he was there, yet he wasn't the one who murdered them, why wasn't he also killed? I guess he must have left before the murders took place. The fact that there is no other DNA would mean the killer must have been prepared and wore gloves, must have been organised. Why attack this house?

So a gloved murderer manages to kill the Rowe family, and frame this [alleged suspect]
Though quite an interesting story, I believe it is just that.

Indizio, it's clear the alleged suspect was framed. Much like OJ.

Who said he was framed? lol

No one did, it's just that his DNA was the only one found there, and if it wasn't him who killed the family, the killer must have been very careful and prepared. :waitasec:
Or absurdly, he was framed.

People arent seriously suggesting that he's innocent?

He was there the night of the murder, he had sex with Chantelle, he has been hiding gashes on his arms all week. Going by quotes from his mum, reading between the lines she thinks hes guilty. His best mate thinks he had it in him.

If he was innocent he would have been able to look at Chantelles friends and family in the eye at the court hearing.

I just hope the police are able to find BLOOD DNA from him, otherwise the case against him is in trouble.

  • #379
If he raped her, there will likely be fingernail scrapings which contain his DNA too...I am not even slightly worried that the case against him wont be rock solid. He would have left traces of himself all over the crime scene IMO.

  • #380
I believe the police would have a stack load of evidence. I don't think they would risk getting this one wrong considering the nature of the crime.
