*speculation...My bet that knife is in scrub somewhere.

I'm inclined to agree with you Mrs G....and I also *speculate he can't remember where he tossed it !

I think he dumped all of it in a barrel of oil or transmission fluid. He knows only two things Basketball and mechanic....unless he stuffed them in a basketball (laugh) I bet it is a barrel somewhere. He wouldn't expect anyone to search it because of the toxic nature of the substance. The old oil would be dark in nature, would soak into the clothes if the cops even did uncover it.

Yeah he may have taken the clothes off, put them in a bag and then put the bag in the boot and changed into another set of clothes, so he didnt sit in teh car with bloody clothes and shoes. Police searched a local dump at Clare which is north of Kapunda, so im guessing that they were hoping that he may have dumped clothes in a bin at Kapunda and the rubbish was collected by the garbage truck and taken to Clare. Does Kapundas rubbish go to the Clare dump? If there was one tiny spec of blood in his car, then forensics would have found it.

I read they searched the Clare dump after a garbage truck had collected bins in the Kapunda area and dumped its contents at the Clare dump.

One question here,

If he left a trail of blood leading out of the house (which could be his own, or something he stepped in) why does the trail end so soon? If he walked home, shouldn't there be traces of blood for the length of the street, or at least longer than what it was?

If he got into a car, that would explain the trail ending, but then to find no blood in his car is surprising. Maybe he didn't use his own car?

I honestly do not believe that post...I think it was a wild exaggeration, perhaps a rumor that started floating around. I heard a worse one afterwards that put both into question in my mind.

ETA this is one of the problems with no information..people start thinking the worst. It's human nature to assume we can't be told because it's unspeakable, the simple truth would be better I think for the sake of the people of Kapunda.

i only believe the statement from moyle stating that all 3 had defensive wounds, multiple stab wounds, with CR suffering the most - we will not know any more until maybe after 2.15 today.

i think he did take a trophy - thats his personality

Ever step in anything, walk, after about 15 paces most of the blood would be in the ground, also it was dirt he walked on. He got rid of the shoes I think the day after or two days after because it was reported by the cops that they have a blood footprint trail. Or they do have the shoes and in the crevices traces of blood there.

Does anyone know if the meeting at the court tomorrow would be accessible to the public?..or would it be done in a 'closed court'?:waitasec:

^ hey question on the personality patroler....what do you think he is like? And agree with what you posted re; injuries.

The blood trail may visibly end, but there would still be traces of it on the shoes and very small traces of it where ever the shoes make contact. If he put the shoes in his car at all, if he touched the accelerator with them, there would be blood on it however small of an amount.

Does anyone know if he wore the same shoes to the shrine that he always wore before the murder took place? Or does he have more pairs than that?

Did police ever mention finding a pair of shoes with blood on them? I know they were searching people's shoes for blood (random people on the street).

I am sure we heard they took his shoes.....I cannot remember where! But it was at the same time we heard his car had been seized.

Indizio,

Maybe that evidence is still being processed. Sometimes it takes weeks to get the lab results back. Presumptive yes, but since the police is being pretty hushed hushed about what evidence they collected we won't know.

  • #653
Look at the Zarah Baker case, all that evidence, and pressure, no arrest yet, because they are still waiting for the lab to come back on test results. They were able to fast tract a few items of evidence but until all comes back no arrest will be made. Not sure if OZ police work in the same manner though.

May I ask how you know no blood was found in his car? Was it reported somewhere?

The first thing during the processing of the crime scene the police will get pretty fast finger prints back, and DNA about 3 days on one item. Enough for their search of known people who were in the house. They focused on interviewing every friend and or prints at the house. They knew a knife took place and possibly the perp on foot, so they started their search outside close to the house and worked outward for the murder weapon. blah blah blah

I'm simply wondering if he has more pairs of shoes, and that he might have hidden the shoes he wore that night with the weapon somewhere.

The shoes police may have taken could be different ones all together.

I don't, but if there was blood in his car, (and since we think the blood footprints were of the victims) then surely he would be straight to trial on evidence like that.

yes but shoe prints are almost like fingerprints that are distinct. The pattern, and not only that when you wear your shoes and lets say step on a little rock, stone, you get little cuts on the soles, or wear pattern on the shoes. They can totally match 100% to a shoe. However, he walked in the dirt, I'm just hoping they got a good print.

Since he works as a machanic :) I would say he would have work boots...when they went to get the shoes surely they would have been able to do a test of some kind to detect blood at the time, OR perhaps they took all of them, and left him with a pair? I don't know about you, but if I was an investigator I would take the lot and say 'sort it out' regarding replacement footwear.

If I was a killer I would definitely dump the lot, shoes, clothes, weapon. And there would be a bonfire involved.
