Kapunda gathers for funeral

OVERCAST conditions have greeted mourners at Kapunda, north of Adelaide, as mourners gather to bury three members of the Rowe family. Andrew and Rose Rowe and their 16-year-old daughter Chantelle were stabbed to death in their rented home two weeks ago.
Many of Kapunda's 3000 residents are expected to attend the funeral service at the town's oval where three small marquees have been set up.

No, we cannot show photos of the accused here until the suppression order is lifted unfortunately :)

But it's not even known if it is him, it could be anyone!

That banner is disgusting, should be ashamed.

In regards to that photo of possibly the alleged at the shrine, I would be interested in if any of the locals recognise this person.

Coverage has started, reporters discussing background information and showing the oval, many people expected with three marquees set up on the oval, and details for the fund are:

Christopher Rowe Trust Fund,
PO Box 58, Tanunda 5352.
For details contact Tamara Meyers on ******** or after hours on *********, or email rowebenefit@bvgroup. net.au

ETA: I edited out her direct numbers just in case she would suffer from nuisance calls from contrary individuals.

During the live coverage which is coming back later, they said the suppression order would stay in place and the accused cannot be identified until trial. The idea being I suppose that any identification would somehow influence jurors, and the matter should be played out in court. They also said this is standard operating procedure in South Australia.

it is my understanding that the suspects friends have identified him as being the one at the shrine, i come across it while sleuthing on facebook lol.
one friend said "the ears are a dead give away" another person said "who else wears socks like that" i think it may have been on the memorial page on facebook but has since been deleted by admins to keep the page discussion free

^ Well done, and thank you for taking the time to have a look at that :)

No it was a white tray top they were after, not a dual cab. I think that other white car was just parked in the street on Monday morning probably.

Yep i saw all that too, the mention of the ears and that they saw him place flowers at the shrine.

He fell for the oldest trick in the book by laying flowers at the shrine. The fingerprints he left were exactly what they had been hoping for, often police watch for suspects disposing cigarette butts, plastic drink bottles etc in the hope of obtaining their fingerprints for comparison to ones found at the crime scene. This leads one to believe he had not been forthcoming with DNA or anything else when police had asked some youths to come in voluntarily for the process of elimination.

Oh I agree.. and thank God he did. IMO it also doesn't seem likely he willingly gave a DNA sample to the Police. He possibly thought if he didn't give his DNA then there was no way the Police could catch him..

I wonder if the Police will trace the pings from his mobile phone? Also wondering, how many mobile phone towers are there in Kapunda?

How do you know this is why they took things from the shrine? Do you have a link to back this up?
