Major search underway for Ann Hollingworth, missing wife of former Governor-General
The wife of former Governor-General Peter Hollingworth has been reported missing.
Police and SES volunteers are searching for Ann Hollingworth, who was last seen outside her East Malvern home about 9.30pm.
There are concerns for the 81-year-olds welfare, with family describing her disappearance as out of character.
She was last seen wearing a purple jacket, floral top, black pants, black shoes and was carrying a black handbag.
Searchers have started door-knocking nearby homes.
Neighbours have told 3AW reporter Pat Mitchell that Ms Hollingworth was dropped off at her home by an Uber before going missing.
