Just thought I'd post this in here for anyone who'd like to read it. It would have to be one of the saddest euologys I have ever read...absolutely heartbreaking!!. This little guy Angus, was out for a walk with his mum, dad & brother, during the wild weather we had a couple of weekends back. A huge tree fell on little Angus & his mum who is still in critical care in hospital.

Rest in Peace in the Arms of the Angels wee Angus.

ANGUS Burke, 3, died when he was hit by a tree in a freak accident in Brisbane during floods on the Australia Day long weekend. Below his father Andrew pays tribute to his son in a touching euology.

Well after 3 nights without power it has just come back on. So excited to have a hot shower in the morning.

We got power back on after 5 days here and because we are on tank water that meant pouring cold buckets of water over our heads too .. But really didn't mind it, bought a game of monopoly and was all a bit fun. We were lucky with trees .. Two fell just outside our bedroom but only took the gutters out. Still clearing out water filters and chopping up branches, but we were lucky.

DH just came back saying 'place still smells doesn't it' after picking up a ton of mangoes from the yard.

I enjoyed the blackout in all honesty, when the power came back I was a little disappointed.

Only thing I was truly gutted about was throwing out an near entire turkey we'd had smoked at the butchers ... DH's mum had to throw out a side of beef :(

Bringing this thread up to say, my thoughts & prayers go out to all in Oz affected by our summer of droughts & floods. And it's not over yet :(

Here we go again
Flood-weary Queenslanders have been warned to steel themselves for another "kick in the ribs" by Mother Nature, with some regions bracing for up to 400mm of rain in the next 48 hours

NSW coast soaked

Wild weather has ravaged New South Wales, with mini-tornadoes tearing through Sydney and floodwaters swamping towns on the mid-north coast.
