I may have missed some information Catswhiskers, but what does it matter what time the shops close up there? Was there a suggestion that whoever had Chloe in their possesion, was out shopping? I must have missed that. :banghead:

I honestly think it was dad & his mate getting supplies. Chloe followed dad, easy as that.

The Shell on the highway is a truck stop and the big sign says FOOD.
I could be wrong but those are usually 24/7. This garage would 100% have CCTV.
There is a toilet block is opposite there, I think that's where the CCTV could have been??
I think cigarettes could have been the reason. Garth was dragging hard on a rolly during an interview.
Hey nothing wrong with that might I must add, just looked like he needed smokes!

It can also be revealed that police wished to speak to the owner of a ‘blue VA Holden Commodore wagon with a trailer attached to it.’

Plain-clothed detectives have been doorknocking residents and interviewing close friends of Chloe’s family.

It is understood they are also searching for ‘something quite specific’ on CCTV in the area.

I totally agree.

That footage is very, very grainy. I hope the police are better at identifying things than I am. I can barely make the child out.

Oh please - "the Australian Maddie"? (referencing the article, not you sleepinoz). On one of the Find Chloe fb pages I saw someone comment on the perceived similarities in appearance between the two little girls - they said something like "it's time to check passports ..." I mean, really??? hwow:

It would be interesting to see that CCTV though, but I doubt we ever will. I wonder if this was done out of spite or revenge of some sort, if we will ever hear what really happened or why. If it was a stranger abduction after all - I'm sure the police won't stop until the guilty party is caught. Either way, even though they released Chloe, they have some very serious issues and need to be dealt with quickly and appropriately.

Hells bells, I see someone has posted pics from the footage! Let me eat my words.

Meanwhile, witnesses have described an incident which happened on Churchill Street, Childers around 4pm during which Garth Campbell (Chloe’s father) was assaulted.

A number of locals said he was approached by another male who was yelling.

The witnesses said Garth Campbell exchanged words with the man, who then ‘knocked him out’.

A large number of police swooped on the location and Mr Campbell was transported to a hospital in Bundaberg.

A Queensland police spokesman told MailOnline ‘I can’t go into the ins and outs of what happened’.
