Toddler sleeping bags can be very thin and not noisy.
They are not generally regular sleeping bags like you would think of for adults.
They are often more of a blanket material and lightweight.

Wouldn't be any more difficult than taking her in a blanket.
Possibly easier because it's a bag. :twocents:

It looks kind of grubby on the wall below it - my first thought was that it looked more like a kitchen window where folks have flung their tea or coffee dregs (or more) outside before washing up.

Respectfully snipped -
The wall looks grubby due to the fingerprint dust the police have used. It's a black dust which is hard to clean off.

The father's interview rang a few alarm bells with me (he hoped they were giving her breakfast/lunch but no mention of bringing her back?).
The car looks to be too far away from the window for someone to have used it to gain access imo.

I can understand Chloe sleeping in the loungeroom. The house is only a 2 bedroom house meaning her parents and baby brother sleep in the main bedroom, while her two sisters have the 2nd. Chloe has probably taken to sleeping in the lounge after the birth of the baby brother (she would have been in with her parents up until that point).

I desperately hope she is found safe and well and all the theories I have are wrong.

Is there a reason I am missing why the three sisters could not share a room? :dunno:

If Chloe always slept in the lounge did she always use a sleeping bag or did she have a quilt as well?

I would really like to know which way that footprint was facing, towards the window or away from the window. That would show if the car was use to gain entry or only used to exit.

If entry was gained elsewhere it could have been a quick getaway through the window.

It definitely would've been easier to use it to exit rather than enter, but that would almost certainly put a dent in the roof.

Wouldn't it be too hot for even a light sleeping bag?

Exactly. Has it been confirmed there wasn't anyone else staying there that night? Seems more likely that the girls would sleep in the lounge if their bedrooms were being occupied

I would think if the car was used to gain entry there would be other signs on or around the car - you don't get to the top of a car and leave a footprint without leaving one anywhere else. IMO

surely Bunk beds and a trundle bed or single kids bed would fit :moo:

- didn't even think of fingerprint dust!

Folks a reminder..... websleuths is a victim & family friendly site. The family are victims here as well. Until & unless police say something to change that we do not allow sleuthing or speculation of the family.

was it a warm night lastnight? maybe the lounge was where the airconditioner was so they all bunked down to keep cool.

Thanks Kailee :)

<modsnip> Childers is a little place- you could easily keep to yourself, and still be well known. I lived in a town about the same size in rural NSW, and believe me everyone knew what you were up to, whether you wanted them to or not. I have not been to Childers in years, but last time I was there it was hot. In NSW, we are heading into winter, but it is still unseasonably warm. Maybe the girls were sleeping in the lounge because it was more comfortable, temp wise, than their rooms? Or maybe the house is just small and this family is doing it a bit tough.

Possibly, as you can see an air conditioning unit on one of the outside walls. It looks like it was around 30 yesterday and 18 overnight.

From https://au.news.yahoo.com/qld/a/22518206/three-year-old-girl-missing/
Those who know the family say they're “a normal, happy” family and the children play in the front yard.

One local said, 'They always say hello. They're a lovely family, and it breaks my heart to think that they're going through such a lot of heartache at the moment.'

They say her parents are distraught.

Neighbours are out searching with police and the street has been blocked off.

Another worry to me is that the main highway up the coast of QLD runs straight through the little town of Childers.

2 adults, 3 children and a baby in a 2 bedroom house must be a squeeze.

The positioning of the parked car looks a little strange, given that the house has two street frontages, and looks to have a 'garage' under the house.

the father's plea rings alarm bells for me too. I hope little Chloe is ok right now, poor girl.

And yes it is still warm up here - I'm up and down turning my ceiling fan on and off all night.
