My 2 boys (7 & 5) and the neighbour's boy (6) tonight decided to scoot over to the local shopping centre without permission or any adult knowing. The neighbor and I was serching the neighborhood for over an hour with out any luck. I was absolutely freaking out and upset with worry. This family must be feeling 100 x worse than I did. Scary.

My daughter doesnt like to fall asleep in her bed. She falls asleep on the couch most nights whilst im watching tv cos she doesn't like to fall aslepp without mummy and daddy. We also do movie nights where all the kids sleep in the lounge.

I do find this very odd. Saying Abduction straight away. And 3yo in my experiences can be master escapists I had 2 out of 3 of them. I hope she is found safe and sound soon. So scary.

Can't they get a better picture of this little girl? Its really irking me they chose a picture with half of her face covered up.

I think whoever entered the home came in through the window but most likely left through the door.

I don't think it was a robbery attempt.

I would like to hear more about the family life and if there were any enemies.

I also find it odd that the neighbor said she saw a man hanging around the house that night and didn't think it was suspicious. I would have called the cops if some random guy was just 'hanging around'.

The odds of someone who knows the family, climbing in or out through a high window, on the one night the window is open seem very remote, especially when there were two other children in the room.
Someone I knew would be the last person I'd suspect if my child was missing.

Makes me wonder if they have a friend/family/neighbor/ acquaintance that they are suspicious of OR know is a pervert or has been exceptionally friendly with her or something. :(

I desperately want to see the orange "found safe" title against this thread :(

Amen to that^^^^

Just my opinion but I find it very odd that the one night a window was left not latched someone has apparently climbed in and taken a 3 year old( sleeping with her two sister's no less) and gotten out somehow without waking anyone at all in a smallish 2 bedroom house.

She was sick? Doubt she would of wandered off on her own accord then. Truly pray it's not another Mikaeel Kular type happening. I personally dont think so but the evidence so far just isn't making much sense! Reminds me of the case of Rahma El-Dennaoui so far (went missing while sleeping with older siblings, window left open..she has never been found :( )

Hoping they find this beautiful little girl safe and sound. This devastates me. Her poor mother looks inconsolable in pics I've seen. I agree a stranger has not done this. Please be okay little darling..whoever has her, , please don't hurt her. Take her home..Please! !

Parents' horror as three-year-old Australian girl is snatched from her own bedroom by intruder in case with chilling similarities to Madeleine McCann case

It always bothers me that newspapers report like this. As far as I am aware, there hasn't been a single bit of evidence that proves an intruder took Madeline McCann. No fingerprints, no dna, no witnesses. In fact, there has never been a single bit of evidence to give us any idea what happened to her. Its just lazy reporting imo, as its assumption not fact - and could well detract from what really happened in both cases.

Besides Chloe's parents were present in the building when she went missing, unlike Madeline's. And Chloe was in her own home, Madeline was in an apartment in a foreign country - so hardly a chilling similarity!

This is so scary. I go to bed at night checking and rechecking locked doors and windows.

She might know this perp, and if woken up she might of willingly gone with the person.

I hope whoever has her drops her off a safe place.

I'm confused - was she in her bedroom or in the lounge, the article says

Chloe and her two older sisters, Janae, eight, and Britney, five, have their own room in the house, but on Wednesday all three girls slept in the lounge.

'When Janae woke to go to the toilet in the morning, Chloe wasn't in the lounge room,' said Mr Campbell. Janae, he said, had then thought that her younger sister had sneaked into her parents' room because she had not been well lately.

'It's got to be someone who knows me...how they got in, where she sleeps,' said Mr Campbell. 'They knew she was sleeping in front of the TV.'

I don't think it's very likely that someone carried her out through the window. Would it have been possible for someone to come in through the window and carry her out the front door.

Perhaps there were two people involved. Was she lowered from her window to someone waiting below? What a risky business!

Agreed ! I was looking at the photo of car and window and thinking how on earth could you go back through that window with both arms full and not make a sound. You could not! You would drop the child or fall down yourself and land in a big thud on that car roof . Also going in through that window, someone would have to know that there were no hindrances right inside the window, furniture or what not. I will be really surprised to find this is an absolute stranger who has never been in the house.
Does AUS have RSO notifications similar to US?

It would be easier to lower her down in a sleeping bag or wrap it tight around her. But she'd cry or struggle.

Have the parents been helping with the search? I think that's a standout.

What kinds of people would you know that would take one of your children & why would you have those types around your family. POQ!

The parents should wonder if they know any pedophiles types or druggies.

Is is a rental, have they been there long? Could it be an old tenant with keys & knows the house.

So many questions and no answers. Poor little baby girl.

We wish we did but we don't. Neither do we have a public sex offender register. Governments are supposedly looking into it...hopefully that will become a reality in the not too distant future!

ETA:..this is the closest we have to a register...

That's really scary , Marly! I bet it's frustrating when you see US cases and can clearly see any RSO's in the area. It's a very valuable tool.

What a cutie she is. Hope she is somewhere warm!

Going by reports released so far I just can't imagine that scenario playing out! I'd like nothing more than to have a broken hinky metre right now but I haven't read anything yet that seems plausible.

Please come back safe baby girl 🤬🤬🤬

I was confused about that too ajc748.

I had the same question. It makes a big difference, in my opinion!

MYSTERY DEEPENS: Did someone take Chloe in the night?

April 11, 2014 12:00AM

Police yesterday interviewed a man who was drinking at the home earlier in the evening as they launched a massive air and ground search.

Bundaberg Inspector Kev Guteridge the man was not a suspect. He would not confirm if the family had other visitors that night.

“We just need to speak to anyone that’s got any information,” he said. “We’re anxious to speak to anyone else.”
