There is no way a 3 year old just "wanders away" after being sick all day, especially in the middle of the night. Nor would they stay gone for 42 hours and survive if they merely wandered off.
Someone (WHO?) had her. We'll hopefully find out more details soon enough.

Inspector Kevin Gutteridge told the ABC Chloe was found safe and well at Childers Showgrounds late on Friday night.
"It's one of those dreams that came true," Inspector Gutteridge said.
"It's the greatest possible outcome for everyone, and for her to be reunited with her mum in hospital this morning was absolutely incredible."
He said where she was found appeared to be quite random and urged anyone with information to come forward.

It's starting to look like she just wandered away.

:twocents:

eta; thank you for the links.

So she did not walk into her home? Too many conflicting reports. My head is spinning.

I don't think she wandered away and evaded everyone for 42 hours without food or drink. :twocents:
It's possible certainly, but not terribly likely. I think it's much more likely she was returned by her abductor.

Actually this reminds me of Keinan, who was RETURNED TO HIS HOME BY HIS ABDUCTOR.

I thought of Keinan myself, i wonder if this is another case where a parents plea brought home a child

Very much agree, I think someone dropped her off nearby, perhaps they became spooked after the CCTV lead was mentioned in media?

Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from town and following leads from the public.

Childers resident Les Fennell handed his own personal security footage to police after they requested he scan it for anything unusual.

Mr Fennell said he uncovered two men and a young child walking south by the railway line behind Pioneer Park, a travellers’ resting park on the Bruce Highway.

The location on the northern end of town intersects Ridgway Street where Chloe went missing.

Mr Fennell said the child was walking about 15m ahead of the men as they passed behind a toilet block as dawn approached.

About twenty minutes later the men returned north in the direction they had come but without the child.

I don't think she wandered off on her own. I think whoever took her got spooked and dropped her off, possibly by the media releasing news of the CCTV sighting :twocents:

I am so happy that my first suspicions were wrong. Sadly, statistics show thy when harm comes to a child it is likely to be someone they knew.

I hope that medical tests show chloe wasn't harmed by her abductor/s at all. I'm so glad she is safe and alive.

Read - Chloe wasn't sexually assaulted.

Or harmed in any way, apparently.

There were no abductors IMO...she wandered away while everyone else was sleeping.

so where did she "appear" at the home or at the show ground???

Police have confirmed the three-year-old "wandered home" near the Childers Showground about 1am and was taken to Bundaberg Base Hospital for a check-up.

Inspector Kev Guteridge this morning confirmed Chloe simply "appeared" at the showgrounds opposite the family home - where police have established their base - shortly after midnight.

Which leads into my other theory which is me being suspicious minded and knowing a pile of horse manure when I smell it and about to breach TOS again so...

Channel 7 this morning said the police heard a cry 'mummy!' And found little Chloe crouching outside the house which had been cordoned as a crime scene.

So many conflicting stories.

:seeya:

Please explain?
So are you saying you smell a set up?

With all the hoopla, Chloe could have been hiding from a distance scared by all the commotion. Poor little moppet. Awwww.

It is possible Chloe followed people who were at the home, whoever, she knew them.
Easy done. Maybe they were slightly intoxicated and suffered diminished responsibility at the time & forgot she was with them.
That's not putting anyone down. It's something that can happen. Devoted parents have forgotten their children before.

They'll get you, their home is across the road from the show ground.

There's no way she was out wandering for 40 hours, happily evading hundreds of searching people and infrared helicopters. Someone was hiding her. I hope, at nearly 4years old, she is able to provide some descriptions of her abductor/s and perhaps the place she was kept.

On Friday, a helicopter, volunteers on horseback, motorbikes and more than 70 SES personnel and police searched a 10-kilometre area around the family's house to no avail.

She'll probably be able to name them.

Childers is a very small place.

She was FOUND safe and well. That means she was "safe" while "lost".

:twocents:

I don't see anywhere that it says Chloe wasn't assaulted.
Many kids have been described as "safe", "well", "unharmed" or "uninjured" when they had been sexually assaulted.

I highly doubt an exam had been done when he made that statement.
He meant that she was not beaten and was visually unharmed.
He also says in that article that Chloe was reunited with her mother.

Keinan, the same age... who was returned home by his abductor was apparently also not sexually assaulted.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...ank-you-after-abducted-son-returned-1.1011718

These two cases could end up being very similar. :twocents:

These are words straight out of a thrilled police inspector's mouth, who probably expected to find a body if he was lucky and instead found a walking, talking 3 year old who had been kept "safe and well" somewhere for 40 hours.

I bet Chloe told her mum all about it.

She wasn't out in the open for 40 hours, apparently. She was kept safe and well, which means she was unharmed and fed, at least in my vocabulary.

Over and out till more facts come through.

Thank you whoever brought Chloe home safe.

:twocents:

I just think that is assuming a lot from one statement within 3 hours of her discovery. :twocents:
However, as I said this may be very much like Keinan's case. Abducted, not harmed, returned.
Keinan was missing for FIVE DAYS, by the way. :twocents:

:wagon:

I am interested to see what comes out today that's for sure, my personal theory right now is that someone did take her from the house, beyond that I have no idea .. but anything is possible!

In the end, Chloe was found close to the house, which backs onto the showgrounds in the small town of Childers, at about 1am (4pm London time).

She had been taken to Bundaberg Hospital, north of Childers, for a medical examination.

"Chloe is now in Bundaberg Hospital" - north of Childers - "where she is receiving medical treatment. It's still too soon to say if she has any injuries, but she's under observation." (Quote from police)

Police are expected to learn from Chloe's mother - who will 'interview' her daughter - just where she has been and who took her away.
