thanks Mrs.G and Belfast. That is what I was envisioning. I wonder if there had been an event there that weekend and Chloe was enamored with. I remember about a child that went missing and as it turned out he was hiding under his own front porch afraid to come out. Just wondering if she could have been close the whole time and hiding for some unknown reason. Maybe she was upset with Mom or Dad. I know that is far out, but so is this whole incident. jmo

I wonder if there will be a presser soon?

Great News - But I don't think we've heard it all yet.

Wow - amazing amazing amazing outcome. What a relief for the family. The cynic in me was not expecting such a happy ending. Don't think I have ever been happier to be wrong! Goodness knows what that poor child endured but I hope she is spoilt silly by her sisters and her family at Easter!

Glad she has been found. I did read an article that said her Mum has returned home, leaving her at the hospital

Chloe's parents Tammy O'Donnell and Garth Campbell returned to the house they are staying at at 4.20am without their daughter, who will remain in hospital for a few more hours.

It is all very very strange. Watching the ACA interview last night did anyone else hear the dog barking away in the background? I do not for one second believe that someone was able to climb onto a car, climb through such a tiny window and abduct a child without that dog yapping its little head off. To me, it would have had to of been someone already in the house or....well i dont want to get into trouble on my first post!

Glad she has been found and i am sure a full investigation will take place...however i still dont like the fact that those other 2 girls were sleeping in the lounge on that single mattress after what had just happened!

BBM :waitasec: :sigh:

Reportedly found calling out 'mummy' in a nearby show ground
'It's an absolute miracle' say Queensland Police
Police now have a resident's CCTV footage, which is said to show two adults and a child walking up a Childers street after midnight on Thursday
Sniffer dogs are being used to find anyone who might have dropped her off

I agree I don't believe she was out wandering all that time. Being in the USA I'm not familiar with "kilometre" so I googled it and it's roughly 6 miles. I'm sure she was not overlooked by anyone during that 6 mile radius search. I think someone had her and released her. I don't think it was because they were worried they'd be identified on that cctv footage though because releasing her or not they could still be identified. JMO

Respectfully snipped

1 kilometer = 0.62 miles,

I think you may have accidentally googled 10 kilometers

:)

Nope, not an accident. I did google 10 kilometers but that is because that's what is stated in the article :)

On Friday, a helicopter, volunteers on horseback, motorbikes and more than 70 SES personnel and police searched a 10-kilometre area around the family's house to no avail.

I can't believe that somebody in that small community took Chloe and thought they could somehow get away with it, but right now that is what I'm thinking happened, unbelievable.

Like most of you, I'm struggling to understand how Chloe was wandering for 42 hours without being found. I think someone must have taken her, and for some reason released her near home. I don't care what the reason right now though, I'm just so happy she's been reunited with her family. I do think there is a lot more to this story that we will find out over the next few days.

Local update, it's currently 10am here in QLD. I'm thinking there may be an official presser later today.

Unreal, isn't it? I'm guessing that the person(s) who took her thought that the reason why they took her would be enough for the parents not to go to the police about it.

Little did they realise, losing your child is far, far, far greater a worry than any other difficulties you may be having with someone else ... or any legal worries those difficulties could lead to, if revealed.

imo

BBM - I don't think they will. Somehow I feel that there is more that we are not being told.
