Speaking to the media in Childers this after, Detective Inspector Bruce McNab said police were still calling on the public to come forward with any information they could, and said no suspects had been eliminated at this stage.

Strange thing to say when they haven't named any suspects.

Det Insp McNab said Chloe's parents were not considered suspects, and said it could take time to eliminate others from the investigation because it could take time for DNA results to arrive back.

"Some of the DNA is coming in in the next week or so and other DNA will take some time," he said.

Hmmm. So much for police arresting someone 'shortly' as per the news yesterday.

It's off the Richter right now Amee. LOL.

I just find it frustrating that in a town of 1500 people and now with an influx of 25-30 more detectives, that nothing has come to light. I'm thinking that those involved are keeping their mouths shut and will deal with it in their own way. All I can say it those poor kids.

I'm struggling to come to grips with the lack of progress. Surely there is only one mobile phone tower in a town of Childer's size. Surely the severity of the crime means that those records can all be accessed?

Me too Froglady. I had no idea what it meant when I first joined WS a few years ago. That and LE had me totally baffled for quite a while. I eventually learned that LE was Law Enforcement (I initially thought it meant Legal Eagles, LOL). Hinky is a cute word I reckon. Better than saying "I feel it in my waters." :floorlaugh:

There is a prison farm just outside Rockhampton where they go to 'work'
The very same place that some prisoners escaped from yesterday.
