A Victorian mother of three boys, who were tragically murdered in one of the state’s most appalling crimes back in 2005, has suddenly died.

Cindy Gambino’s three boys were killed back in 2005 after their father Robert Farquharson drove his car into a Winchelsea dam on Father’s Day.

Cindy’s sons were killed after their father drove his car into a dam. Now the family have been dealt another devastating blow.

“It is with deep sadness that we confirm the passing of loving mother and wife, Cindy Gambino, on Tuesday, 10 May 2022, at just 50 years of age. Cindy suffered a medical episode in her home on Sunday, 8 May 2022,” the statement read, according to the Geelong Advertiser.

“Cindy’s devoted husband, Stephen Moules, and paramedics made valiant attempts to revive Cindy, and she was conveyed to University Hospital Geelong.

In 2005, Cindy drew national sympathy after her ex-husband deliberately drove their family car into a dam along the Princes Highway, where he escaped and left the children inside the vehicle.

After the tragedy, Cindy went on to have two more children, who she says gave her a renewed sense of hope, while Farquharson was sentenced to life without parole in 2007 after being found guilty of the triple murder.
