Prior to BREs arrest, just before Christmas 2016, I wonder if he had an inkling he was going to be arrested. Just imagine the scenario with all the police bursting in - until they arrived, BRE probably thought he was going to have a quiet, relaxing day - probably had plans for the Christmas break too.

The day after the arrest, I drove to Belmont Forum shopping centre and went past the Acton Ave property, when all the police were outside and the neighbours in the street, arms folded, chatting to each other - they were probably flabbergasted.

I've been travelling that way to the shopping centre for many years.

Tonight I'm wondering if Telstra had strict "private car usage" rules back in the 80's and 90's e.g. no more than 100 kms per week or 100 kms per weekend - or such. With a fuel card - I guess if you were out disposing of bodies you would use cash and not put the "moonlighting" on a work fuel card. I realise someone who is capable of murder/brutalisation would not adhere to normal life rules (and more than likely break the rules continuously). Wish we could find out if BRE was a Zero Hero or was sitting on 11 demerit points. Oh the police will be kicking themselves if he was stopped for an infringement and not searched. As time passes I have just more and more questions.

Each month, a Fleet officer probably collected the log sheets, entered the data, and perhaps didn’t analyse the mileage – wasn’t required , why bother!

Perhaps employees who used their work vehicle after hours, for their own personal use probably constantly lagged on handing in the mileage sheets, just in case an infringement came through – such as speeding or a red light.

Then there are other pool vehicles which would have required a mileage sheet too.

Usually government vehicle records are retained for 7-years after the vehicle is sold. Hopefully WAPOL have checked to see if that paperwork has been destroyed because it may still exist. Highly likely it's been recorded on a records management system, boxed and sitting on a shelf within an archive building.

Hi IC - obviously nobody has ever identified this man with blonde hair. Not that the public have been told anyway. Maybe he was found and questioned but of no interest to police. It's so frustrating not knowing whether he was questioned or not. Would love to find out if it was the same guy talking to Ciara Glennon on video. Or if it was the same guy with Sarah Spiers. MOO

I agree this is very interesting. Camile Maclean says she saw a man with blond hair talking to Jane Rimmer on her cctv footage. He looked like the same man that offered to drive her home the night before CG disapeared. The other article published in April said there was cctv of CG talking to a blonde man the night she disappeared.

It also turns out Steve Ross reports a handsome blond man was the man who took a taxi with Sarah Speirs the night before she disappeared.

Some of us thought this man (before knowing his description) could have picked SS up from the phone box. With such a short time frame from when she rang the taxi, walked across the road and disappeared it makes sense she knew the person in the car and just got in.

It also strikes me that Camile said she saw Jane talking to a blonde man that looked like the one trying to pick her u p on the cctv. It didn't seem there was any blonde man talking to Jane on the footage that was released. Could hair colour be changed by the "enhancement" by CIA? Why wasn't it shown, if not? They must have known who it was and decided he wasn't the 'one'. Seemed he might have turned up again as one of the last to talk to CG, and maybe the same getting in a taxi with SS.

I hope this person has been thorough re-investigated because with Mr C's record of all cases he was in charge of I have zero confidence in his morals or competence.

Not sure if any others followed the pdf this "Theories could hinder hunt"article on 22nd March 1997, but my computer emits a high pitch siren for around a minute every time I've turned it on ever since. Am getting it thoroughly looked at soon.

I can't follow discussion here when it takes the "other object" that may have been missed from CG's body. Seriously that just destroyed any dignity her memory may have had IMO!

Remember just because the media said she was clothed etc. that is most probably not what she was or what happened. Irish newspapers didn't report that. As I've pointed out before, the double speak in the initial report of what the witness tell you more IMO.

From the pictures I've seen of him, I think he had dark hair. I've never seen any evidence that he knew Jane Rimmer, even though that's been repeated many times. I think he could have been on Jane's video, but not talking to her.

I think PCS has a point when he's made a few comments to BRE. There are a few strange user names that come on and make one or two weird comments and I wonder if some can get access to this site.

Also it wouldn't be unusual for others closely connected, like Michelle to be in online chats IMO.

IIRC I'd like to point out that the critical 'personal' item mentioned by CV has been discussed previously.
But good work CV on maintaining respect for the victim while pin pointing such a sensitive issue.

IMO maybe years ago the critical item could not reveal DNA because the forensic science wasn't able to back then.

And only years later, with advancements in forensic analysis and DNA sampling, the once 'useless' bit of evidence suddenly became 'useful' because new forensics methods could extract LCN DNA from this critical item evidence.

And BINGO! The once overlooked critical item evidence is now key piece of evidence.

Regarding the cable notification, I recognize the phone number (1100) as Dial Before You Dig. That notice quotes 'Underground Cable Locations'. I'm not sure who they were or what date that cabling was installed. That service has been named DBYD for ages, and prior to that, something else but not UCL.

Dial Before You Dig has been located within the Water Corporation's Canning Vale Office for a long time. It's automated now and there's only a handful of people there.

The only Telephone exchange I can locate near to the suburb Orelia is in Medina - I've checked all postcode 6167. The suburb called The Spectacles is located nearby. Presumably the cable is laid from one telephone exchange to another exchange.

Drt, I agree. People need to take responsibility. When people, sneak around, committing crimes, they know that it's wrong that's why they are sneaky about it. If serial killing is their hobby, perhaps they should get another hobby.

It seems, SKs spend so much time researching and stalking their victims. That's their idea of having a good time - they're pleasure - what dreadful people!

From what I've read these people don't always have a bad upbringing either - it can't always be the parents fault.
