Just strange to be wearing a cummerbund, as not a normal dress item.

So, I was casting my mind back to the fashion of that time, and remember that about that time very wide (about 15cm) black elastic 'belts' with centre front silver clasps/ buckles were in fashion (usually worn with a skirt). It's possible that this could be described as a 'cummerbund' (especially if the person reporting it was an older male who had no idea of fashion lol!).

Can anyone who remembers what I'm talking about find a good picture to post?

I'm still lost and can't find the Edwards branch from the Marwick branch. Was there a B Edwards?
Totally irrelevant if the accused is related to any of the missing persons if he didn't even know if he was related IMO. 1 would need to prove that he would've known. Anyway I wasn't looking for the accused. I was looking to eliminate Julie Cutler's disappearance being due to mistaken identity. I found the information elsewhere. That information says that I cannot rule out mistaken identity, if her disappearance was planned, indeed if it was planned then it's looking more likely that they mixed up the two Julie's. The reasons will be apparent in trove.

The family tree is quite extensive. There was a few B. Edwards in checking the family tree by doing a surname search but the ones that could have been BRE had things that didn't match such as a child or a wedding date that didn't match or a father that wasn't B Edwards.

Maybe we need to revisit this with a CSK lens.
Does she's fit the profile?
Is she a possible CSK victim?
Was the accused working in Kalgoorlie/Boulder/nearby surrounds at the time?
"Club Deroes properties in Kalgoorlie and Perth were raided on Tuesday as part of renewed efforts to find out exactly what happened to Ms Govan."

Don't think so although the Australian Navy Survey ship was busy off the coast.

However an US navy ship was in port when Victoria Clark was murdered. VC had gone out to dinner and cinema with three of them. She later drove the men to Kings Park and went into the city for coffee with one of them. Detectives interviewed him at length.

Interesting!! Cleared him after forensic tests. Did they have DNA or similar to compare and clear. There was the "clue" on the Kimono linking this brutal murder and the Huntingdale attack!

Hmmm sounds like a great excuse to raid Club Deroes. I think they would keep then on the books as persons of interest even if someone is arrested just to be able to raid them at will.

I just been told that unlike other genealogy programs this one isn't hiding profiles of some live people. Maybe Sillybilly can disable the link in the original post, until the admin on that genealogy site is made aware of it and fixes the issue.

I'll post what I have, just taken off phone and haven't even read it since quickly took photos months ago.

Cleared with forensic tests!! This is what strikes me. DNA ?? That was what was on the kimono linking this with Huntingdale.

David Troy Masters, who lived in one of the group of flats confessed to the murder of VC after being convicted and serving 7 years in Queensland for killing a backpacker. Wasn't his DNA on the kimono though. Team effort?

"If we don't catch the 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 there's every chance he'll kill again" he said. "We don't want to alarm everyone, but there's every possibility."

Possibly the statement of the decade.

Police conducted exhaustive questioning of neighbours and friends, but NOT family? why not?

WS did look at this and it came up that a poster said BRE did go to Kalgoorlie and didn't socialise with his workmates. I saw Lisa's face in the Perthnow article and was just compelled to bring her forward.

FYI, the perp you are discussing is Roger Sydney William Payne. The father of the Minister of Defence MP is WEP.

Not only is it against Websleuths TOS, but it is irresponsible to post information about random people just because they have the same very common surname.
