Sure but what got me thinking of father-son was the timelines. If BRE is guilty, similar crimes that were done earlier could not have been done by him because of his age but if he went out on technician jobs when he was young (with a parent) and these crimes were committed and he saw, then that might explain the timeline of similar cases early 80s (him and a parent), late 80s exploring solo and 90s going solo. The Sharon Mason case got me thinking of this for some reason. He would only have been 15 though. These are just my thoughts.

Sure but what got me thinking of father-son was the timelines. Maybe the Birnie's were mentors!!

Another weird though was that it was Dido's birthday yesterday. 46 years old on Christmas day. The weird bit was all those co-incidences in the White Flag video clip, even down to the numbers shown on the sticky note at the end and he wears a claddagh ring!!

Possibly drunk but who knows how important or not the Claremont Ghost video hints were. I never saw the video's and whoever still has them on websleuths refuses to post them. From the stills I'd say in my opinion, some sick person in the know about the CSK was leaving clues. Interestingly, metic was full monty on the Dido video clip a few months ago. Who knows cops may have got more out of investigating that that LW for 10 years!

Birnie's were very successful at abducting and killing and may have been responsible for more. I think looking into their other possible victims, especially the way they were killed may have some relevance in this case. There was a short discussion on no names post at the end of the last thread on the high number of CSK and Birnie victims (and possible victims) that came from two schools, Iona and Hollywood SHS.

This is surprising even though victims seem randomly taken and wonder if there is something about these two schools?

• Does anyone know where Mary Nielsen (Birnies 1st victim) went to school? Ive never thought much of the Iona connection to CSK specifically but I do find it bizarre that of 9 missing/murdered/abducted girls - being JC, Birnies (5 known) & CSK (3 suspected), that 3 attended HSHS and 3 attended Iona. There are so many other schools in the immediate area yet 6 were from these 2 schools. The odds of that must be ridiculously high.

• CV added Lorrin Whitehead who went missing from Geelong in 2013 went to Iona, and crabby/whatsgoingonhere is convinced her unsolved disappearance is the result on the CSK whom they state is not BRE or maybe a group involving BRE and others, if I read their posts correctly.​

Both the KK and Huntingdale victims reported one man and cops seem to have strong DNA evidence as well as eyewitnesses (the girls) from these crimes. Everything points to the accused, especially DNA.

Some other possible related assaults around Claremont that could be related were one and some were two attackers.

However with Jane and Ciara you don't have eyewitnesses and only with CG do you have some DNA... found on something in evidence on a later date, lost at another lab and tested in England or something like that. No eye witnesses that we know of. Although there was an eye witness that linked a guy talking to Jane on the night she went missing, to someone at or talking with Ciara when she went missing and matched the description of someone in Steve Ross's car with SS the night before she went missing. He was a blond guy, and I doubt whether the accused ever had blond hair.

You do have cctv on the nights both Jane and Ciara went missing. Ciara's has never been released to public. Many people including myself have looked at the JR vision for hours and hours. With the limited vision and quality released, it's not possible to clearly identify people, although witnesses that were shown the clear quality vision were able to. However it's possible to see the interactions between people suggesting the attacker (whether MM or others in the video) wasn't alone. I doubt the story told to the parents and am waiting for the Linda Donovan witness who appeared and was interviewed on the Crime Investigation video to appear on the witness list.

With the Birnie's, Paul Ferguson visit David in jail to see if he could help with the CSK investigations. I'm not too sure of the timeline, but think Birnie committed suicide soon after.

Just to clarify, I'm not suggesting a parent was present during the 90s abductions. I am talking about the making of a serial killer and the fact that similar crimes took place in Perth (70s and 80s) and not all of it was the Burnies. If BRE is guilty as accused, how on earth did he evolved to this level, with little childhood indication (behaviour indicators at school). I wondered if it could have been something he learnt or saw pre and during adolescence. I am also going to assume that his relationship with father was good based on his adult life following in his father's footsteps work-wise and interest in remote fishing from childhood. Possibly a significant role model. If so, where did it go wrong (if he is guilty)?There are examples in history of learning from a parent. It would be extremely rare but not impossible. JMO
