Over the last 20 years, there would have been thousands of CSK discussions at homes, workplaces, and social settings. Either he is a complete loner, or he has been around when they occurred. Would he join in and risk giving something away, or would he make an excuse and withdraw from the conversation? It's possible someone has witnessed his reaction.

Pretty interesting. It's frightening to think that this person could still be living in Perth dormant (or not). My personal opinion is that they are most likely dead, overseas or in jail.

Ivan Milat wasn't dead, overseas or in jail. Neither were many others.

Do you have a description of the man she was allegedly seen having coffee with [possibly by an off duty police officer] after her line dancing?

Nope. But it's normal for the defence lawyers to point the finger somewhere else. I'm struggling to get past his ID being found at the crime scene.

Easily planted. MOO.

How long did Milat stay dormant for?

The fact is LR has been found not guilty. For all intents and purposes CR's killer has not been found.

As someone said, any idea how long he was dormant for?

Based on confirmed victims the CSK has been dormant for nearly 20 years.

Is this something that regularly happens?

Great question!

I just did a wikipedia search of Milat. Looks like the last confirmed murders were in 91 and he was arrested in 94.

We don't know with certainty that CSK stopped at CG, do we?

You're right. But I suppose we can really only go on known evidence. We can speculate but speculating off unconfirmed events is getting further from the likely truth.

..............or closer .......if unconfirmed events turn out to be the truth?

Clarke and Walters did not go missing until April 92.

So even less 'dormant' time.

I take your point about the CSK. We don't actually know if they've been dormant. But based on what we know it appears that way. Perhaps not.

I just find it so frustrating and strange that there is such little evidence or leads and we're nearly twenty years down the track. Surely there must be something more to this.

Like what?

I wish I knew.

Why have there been no more confirmed killings?
Why has no one been caught?
Was the case really badly bungled?
Does the killer not want to be caught?

The cops would be sitting on a mountain of evidence. They probably read this thread and laugh about how we're so far off the case!!

I wish they would release something new for us to hypothesise over.

Yes the police might laugh at the sleuths efforts, but then again their efforts haven't solved either . They seem to be getting cold cases solved everywhere around oz

It's strange. When all this was going down you just thought it would be a matter of time before someone would be caught. Sitting here 20 years later and we have absolutely no clue who was behind this is pretty amazing.

I mean think about that camera that police installed on Bayview Terrace (I think, Bart might know better). Surely there was something useable in that footage?
