Re Gerard Ross - article Jan 2017 mentions that "Several new persons of interest have been identified in the unsolved murder of an 11-year old schoolboy in Perth, Police say".

Map showing proximity of Rockingham where Gerard Ross went missing to Baldivis where he was found: - not sure exactly where he was found, however in pine plantation.

EDIT: "They thought the boy was taken somewhere between being kidnapped and dumped, and hoped dog hairs found on his clothing would reveal where and by whom".

If the accused CSK is also responsible for the death of 11 yro GR, then there's vaguely similar time frames between the 1996 murders and the 1997 murders.

Previously I've posted about SKs having a certain period timing cycle that they roughly stick to when offending.
I'll dig up the link again.

With regard to the Gerard Ross disappearance a vehicle was spotted beforehand, in brief the article reads...

Investigators are seeking to identify the driver of a beige or cream coloured sedan that approached a young boy waiting at a Kent Street bus stop near the Rockingham public library a few weeks before Gerard disappeared.

As you are aware GR was approx. at No. 99 Kent St, Rockingham before being abducted. That house now has quite a few new units next to it. At the time, No. 99 might have been a bit secluded. Kent St, is one street back from the Ocean and toward the southern end of Kent St is the main shopping centre. Perhaps some creep was driving toward the shops and spotted GR.

With regard to the "possibility" of a CSK victim November 1996.... that could also be an attempted abduction or rape. I've had a look at the missing persons register and there's no women in WA that went missing Nov 1996. A newspaper would advise if there was an attempted abduction or rape, but they're not digitized back that far, most of the other states are digitized, but there's nothing in those about WA (rape/abduction/prostitute/street worker).

The cemetery board is searchable by name only (not date).

Thanks for the post, you ask some good questions. Apparently quite a few detectives have been engaged to work on cold cases that are up to 30 years old.

Does anyone on the forum know approximately when the statistics of the alleged CSKs crimes will be revealled?
