Australia - Coonabarabran - Woman in custody over death of two children - Coonabarabran, New South Wales

I wonder what was in the back of the white BT50 car that the Police were searching? It looks like medical supplies perhaps? I wonder if it was the woman’s work car, as the red car in the garage has number plates with her initials on it, so I assume the red car would be her personal vehicle.

Goddam red flag right there……..

“The boys’ grandmother does not have a criminal record but had complained about depression in the past.”

-c-18604286
How is that a red flag? Do you know how common depression is? I think we need to wait for more info before we blame anyone for giving the grandmother custody. Obviously the depression was a lot worse but so far there is no indication that the department knew this before giving her custody.

A grandmother has been charged with the alleged double murders of two schoolboys in NSW's west.

The brothers, aged seven and six, were found dead at a semi-rural property on the outskirts of Coonabarabran in north-west NSW on Monday afternoon.

Police charged the boys' 66-year-old maternal grandmother with two counts of murder on Friday.

She will be held in custody for at least another 10 days after making no application for bail during a brief appearance at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

She appeared briefly via video-link during the initial appearance, when she said she understood the charges she was facing. She will appear in Dubbo Local Court on 21 May.”

“KH, 66, will be held in custody for at least another 10 days after making no application for bail during a brief appearance at Parramatta Bail court on Saturday.

She was charged the previous day after spending several days in hospital since the bodies of brothers Max and Sam, aged seven and six, were found in separate bedrooms inside their home just after 2pm on Monday.

Two junior police officers went to the property, which is located about 10km from the centre of the farming town, after a message sent to the communities and justice department triggered an emergency response.

They broke into the home to find the boys’ bodies, while their maternal grandmother was nearby after allegedly trying to harm herself.

Heggs allegedly killed the boys as early as 10.30am that day, court documents said.

She appeared briefly on a video link during the initial appearance, when she said she understood the charges she was facing.

On Friday night, hundreds of people gathered for a vigil at Neilson Park, beside the Castlereagh River, to grieve the loss of the young boys.

A tree was planted for each boy, and there was a ceremonial presentation of their yellow belts – which the young karate students were due to receive this week

The karate class also performed a traditional routine.”
