We need crimes against women taken seriously and long prison sentences to keep these men off the streets. It seems these men always escalate and a conviction of stalking and domestic should merit a long prison sentence. Unfortunately, at the moment this isn't the case.

New details emerge about horrific alleged dating app murder

Ashley Gaddie, 33, is accused of murdering school teacher Dannielle Finlay Jones, 31, at her friend's Cranebrook home, in Sydney's west, during the early hours of Sunday.

A teacher who was allegedly murdered by her Bumble date was found dead on the bedroom floor with bruises around her neck as well as facial injuries, police will allege in court.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal detectives are investigating whether Dannielle Finlay-Jones, 31, may have been strangled by tradesman Ashley Gaddie, 33, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It can also be revealed that a friend who was at the property that night has told detectives she heard a commotion coming from the bedroom that evening, court documents said.

Search for answers years after 'much-loved' teacher's suspected murder​

The suspected murder of a young teacher will be examined by an inquest more than three years after she was killed following a night with her boyfriend.

Dannielle Finlay-Jones was found with fatal injuries at a home in Cranebrook, in western Sydney, on the afternoon of December 18, 2022.

Police believe the 31-year-old spent the previous night with her boyfriend Ashley Gaddie, 33, before he left in the morning.
