GUILTY Australia - Dean Shillingsworth, 2, found in suitcase, Ambarvale, NSW, 11 Oct 2007

The reports state that it was the paternal grandmother who had custody of dean but not the other two children. The only explanation I can come up with is they all had different fathers and this grandmother felt she was unfit and filed and won custody.

I can't help but wonder if she killed him on purpose to be vindictive. Why harm him specifically? The article also states the grandmother as holding an infant in one arm and wiping away tears. Are they talking about the six month old? Just wondering why she would have the baby now but not before.

Apparently he was killed the day he was supposed to go to the grandmother permanently.

I think they are talking about the six month old, but maybe not. She may have other grandchildren she is caring for that are not from this mother.

Dingo, I took it to mean she attended a party elsewhere and complained of a bad smell in their apt. to people at the party.
you are right Strach....the little girl said their house smelled:( ..I should pay more attention.

This makes my heart hurt so much! What the h@ll can make someone want to hurt a baby like that? I will never understand how these sickos think. I cant comprehend it...

He was such a cutie too, Those big brown eyes just make you melt.

He was precious! I cannot comprehend it either.

OK that makes no sense to me. Obviously there was enough concern and irregardless of threat to life there was threat to well being and more should have been done to protect him. He was given to Grams for a reason in the first place be it whatever reasons. You make visitation conditional and supervised until standards are met,and whatever you do don't make excuses for when the system fails. If it was serious enough to remove him it was serious enough for him to be at risk. It's a no brainer I think.

We can hope she does Jules but she,ll proberly be out in no time:( .
My cousins little 7 year old boy was murdered a while back in Newcastle..the monster that murdered him only got 2 years.

OMG... Me too, Dingo. :blowkiss:

That is truly awful. :(

Did you wish to share any details?

Thanks girls...it happened back in 89 and he would have been 23 now.
My cousin had broken up with his wife and she had went and found herself a new boyfriend...she had gone to a football game and left her two boys with a girlfriend but sometime during the afternoon the boyfriend went and picked them up and took them back to his place......the boyfriend put the little boys in the bath together and for whatever reason he lost his temper with Joshua and drug him out of the tub and threw the little fella all around the house including into a fishtank breaking every bone in his body:( ..he then threw little Joshua onto the lounge and left him to die alone while he took the other little boy to the shops to get lollies....little Josh was dead by the time the ambos arrived.
The reason the monster only got a short sentense is because he told the judge he had been drinking and didnt realise what he was doing ..obiviously the Judge agreed with him:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: .

If my scanner was working I could post a pic of the little guy taken with my daughter....he was a beautiful little man:( .
This haunts me to this day.

How did I know it was going to be "the boyfriend"
I was nearly going to ask you that in my last post. :banghead:

I cannot believe the Judge was that stupid,
being drunk is not a defense. :banghead:

That poor little boy and what he went through,
it makes me feel sick :(

I often wonder if these monsters ever take a moment to think of their victims and the life they snuffed out.

Its not justice, more of a slap in the face. I cant believe anyone would trust him with kids again.
