Neighbours said they believed the children living at the house included a three-year-old, and two 18-month-old twins.

Mother, grandmother, and little girls
Again, what an absolute tragedy. It’s so so so unfair.

So if he's 20 ... are the women his mother and sister? Mother and grandmother? Are the kids his neices/nephews or his siblings? Neighbours said they saw primary school aged kids, but they must be either mistaking the very young children who were killed for older children or those kids must have been just visitors? Or maybe they're also part of the family, just not there that day? Really interested to know motive .. mental illness, family dispute, family violence, drugs, etc etc

Can't it be his wife/girlfriend and her mother, and then the two little kids?

It could be, if as the SMH is now saying he's "in his 20s". The prior article I read said he was 20. It's certainly not impossible for a 20 year old man to have a 3 year old but its vanishingly uncommon.

This is horrific... I have been speculating with a neighbor over this for the last hour.. but what an awful outcome.

Neighbors say they had not seen the partners work Ute parked out front in a week and the family haven’t been seen either for the same amount of time. I think it could be the partner/husband

Does this indicate that they have been dead this whole time?

“Attending police discovered the deceased bodies of several people including children believed to be up to five persons,” the statement said.

Channel 9 had it as their main story earlier this morning however this most recent bulletin (9am here in Queensland) it wasn't mentioned. Wonder why!

It is believed the man was known to the women and children, although police have not confirmed this. “The man currently assisting police remains in custody,” police said on Monday. “No charges have been laid at this time.”

Twin two-year-old girls among five found dead in Perth home

.....

So far the guy that shows up at police station is said to be 19-20 yrs old. Seems young to be the father/husband of 3, 2 yr twins & 3 yr old.

Wonder if he worked for the father/husband.
Husband/father’s ute has ben gone for about a week, neighbors thought they were on vacation/holiday.
