Frederick McDonald was a former member of the Australian Federal Parliament who disappeared on the way to a meeting with NSW Premier Jack Lang. He was believed to have been murdered on the instructions of Thomas Ley, who had won McDonald's seat in the 1925 Federal election:

Looks like Thomas Ley killed at least one political opponant perhaps even more. I wonder why he would kill Mcdonald? He won the seat from Mcdonald.
