Hi, I’m new to the Gerard Ross thread. Regarding the driver of a beige or cream coloured sedan which offered another 11-year-old boy a lift, prior to Gerard being abducted…

A few years prior,in 1991, Kerry Turner went missing from Shepperton Rd, Victoria Park. Kerry was last seen getting into a vehicle, which one witness described as being a dark blue car similar to Datsun 260c with spoked wheels, but another witness described a fawn coloured sedan.

There have been a few discussions on Websleuths and Bigfooty which have mentioned a white ute being sighted, prior to the locatingof Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon’s bodies. The discussions make reference to early newspaper articles, which I’m unable to locate.

The CSK has been accused of several crimes including the murders of Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon. Gerard was abducted and killed six months after Ciara Glennon.

Was Brett Cowan ever in NSW? I remember a person of that name who lived in army town in the Hunter region in army housing. Was a child, but a bit disturbed as was the whole family.

Gerard was abducted October 14, 1997. Almost six-months later, a woman came forward who witnessed seeing two men struggling with a boy, describing the men as mid-30s, one with fair hair and the other dark haired. The vehicle was described as either a faded maroon or brown station wagon (20 April 1998).

What are the forums thoughts on why the matter wasn’treported beforehand? Could it be a possibility, this woman actually knew the two men and feared repercussions. Has anyone thought about searching through historic media, for other crimes committed in case these two men were imprisoned for another crime – date range Oct 1997 to 19 April 1998.

If the pair was imprisoned, perhaps the woman was then confident enough to report the matter.

I wonder if the car was sold shortly after the abduction. Meaning there might be a for sale advert in the newspaper or Comment News. These are only my thoughts and opinions.

It would appear that Huggins was in Albany at the time of GR's abduction and murder.
Kudos of Tom Tristram's evidence.
Kudos to Gina Horch for the later investigation that got him convicted.

Whilst looking at Rockingham’s Kent St, where Gerard was walking about 9.30am Tues, 14 Oct 1997 – that’s a residential area (near #99). That end of Kent St has housing, and some people would have been home. Transperth’s 550 bus travels along Kent St where Gerard would have been walking.

Nowadays there’s a bus which travels down that road about 9.36am. No one mentioned hearing a struggle. I wonder if a bus driver stopped and offered him a ride, Gerard may have accepted, especially if the bus was going past the comic store.

As the bus, routinely travels along Kent St, possibly no-one noticed it stopping between bus stops. These are only my thoughts and opinions.

A short distance NE of Kent St is Serenity Lodge - 106 Lewington St, Rockingham.

Serenity Lodge has been providing treatment services to the Western Australian community since 1977. The Lodge offers a four stage residential Therapeutic Community program to assist people affected by alcohol and other drug use problems.

I’m certainly not suggesting someone from the lodge is responsible for an abduction, rather I intend compiling a list of places within the general vicinity. The general vicinity is mainly suburbia as well as holiday homes occasionally scattered amongst them.

Note: Kent St is a main thoroughfare to Rockingham's shopping precinct. It's one street back from the beach, and runs parallel with the ocean.

During November 2008, an attempted abduction of a 12-year-old boy occurred in Port Kennedy, which is a neighbouring suburb of Rockingham. The perpetrator was described as 40s or 50s, with a slim older face - black and greying hair. The article is below.

That attempted abduction was 11-years after Gerard was abducted. Could it be possible the perpetrator was one of the two men, who was witnessed, the day after Gerard's abduction struggling to get a boy into a car – along with a second man. Rockingham (WA) Detectives are seeking witnesses or information on a suspicious man who attempted to get a 12 year old boy into his car on Friday morning in Port Kennedy.

At around 7.30am on 21 November 2008, the boy alighted from a bus at the Warnbro Sound Avenue bus stop, located adjacent to Bayonne Gardens. He crossed the road heading towards San Sebastian Boulevard before walking east and entering into Trevino Drive.

As he was walking on the left hand side of the road, a man pulled up in an old white four wheel drive and asked the boy to get into the car. When the boy declined, the man pulled forward and parked ahead of him. He spoke to him again, but this time in an aggressive manner.

The boy ran to his school nearby and alerted staff. He noted that the car carried out a three point turn and travelled down Trevino Drive and onto San Sebastian Boulevard, before disappearing.

The driver of the car is described as being aged in the 40s or 50s, with a slim older face, and with black and greying hair. He was wearing a lime coloured checked short sleeve shirt and jeans.

His car is described as being an older model large four wheel drive, with a silver single bull bar at the front. It had black door handles, a black rear bumper and a black fabric spare wheel cover. The boy’s primary school has alerted parents and families via letter. Police are conducting further inquiries and have increased patrols in the area.

In Tasmania on the 3rd September 1993 a boy vanished. His DOB was 1983. Craig Taylor.
There has not been an Inquest but a Coroner has investigated the case.

He thinks there's a possibility that he may have taken a kayak and drowned? I imagine those old 15 ft fibreglass kayaks would be very heavy for a slight 9 year old to drag?

The Coroner has not ruled out abduction in this case. A credible witness saw a car pull up
near a boy matching his description.

The car was a white 1991 Holden Commodore Station Wagon.

Or one who believes children should be seen and not heard. That old belief children are there to be used and abused, they never disobey an adult and don’t require respect from the more ‘superior’ adult.

What was the name of that country town in the wheatbelt that people sleuthed up via the Droc dossier on Binks? Someone suggested that the alleged pedophile group might've hidden themselves within a cult, or operated like a cult?

There is a cult called the Plymouth Brethren that runs schools in Dalwallinu, Cunderdin, Albany, Gnowagerup, and Willetton presumably there must be communities scattered around these wheatbelt towns and Perth. I wonder if that's a starting point for further inquiry?
