Thanks so much @bearbear for the info. I just had a look at the trailer for that episode, and Kallista sure has changed. She looks much older, and no doubt after what she has been through. She calls him a monster in the 60 Minutes clip, and that he is… but she does have his son.

when i saw the advert i just felt sick seeing her and cant help but feel anger towards her, not sympathy, she gave her precious little girl to that monster willingly, possibly in my opinion, so she could get high

I'll watch that program, but I have long ago formed an opinion about her, and it begins "Birds of a feather ..."
i feel the same, how could you hand your child over for an overnight stay to an (alleged) fellow drug user, a stranger, she was such a precious happy little being, and its unbearable to think of her terror in those last hours

Dear little charlise, such a beautiful little girl, so sad

Stein is a very persistent liar. I can see how a not-smart (and drug affected) person might have accepted what he was saying. He just doesn't back down from his lies at all, and gets really emphatic about them.

Just watching the 60 Minutes show now.

Those poor police officers .. "who shoots a young girl in the face".
Poor Charlise. :(

'I'm not this monster': Mother of murdered nine-year-old Charlise Mutten breaks her silence

“Stein's phone records would ultimately lead investigators to a location on the banks of the Colo River, where a barrel was found with Charlise's body inside.

Detective Senior Constable Justin Hayton made the gruesome discovery.

"I just had that gut feeling, I just knew it was her. I hadn't seen the barrel before, I just knew," Hayton said.

Within hours, Stein was arrested and charged with murder.

Detective Hayton stayed with Charlise throughout her two-day autopsy.

What they discovered was shocking.

"We were informed by the forensic pathologists that there were two bullet holes, one on her hip and then the other one was in her face," he said.

"I mean, who shoots a little girl in the face and why?”

Finally get to see who was actually holding Charlise in this picture that was released by Police when Charlise first went missing - but they had cut out Stein’s head. I spent a long time trying to work out who owned the hand.

I think I always thought it was him, and I didn't like where his hand was.

60 Minutes: Extra Minutes - with the producer explaining why they gave KM a voice (among other things)

Update on tomorrow’s Readiness Hearing, His Honour Judge Graham Turnbull is listed to preside on the matter.

I can't find any details about this. Are they looking to press further charges?

What a shame the public isn’t being kept informed about this matter. The matter was listed for trial to start on 17th March, 2025.

Looking on Lawlink just now, that trial date has been removed and now there is instead a court date of 28th March, 2025, for mention. No idea what is going on.

It's almost like he's been wiped from the face of the earth. Good.

I'll be very happy to hear no more of him, but only after he'd s been tried on all charges.
