Those little change purses were very, very common. It's evidence of nothing. (and I think the Beaumonts' mother reported it as white and the one allegedly seen in his house 40 years later was beige.)

That would be a strange situation, given how long ago this occured.
Can you elaborate or speculate on the kind of situation you think would cause the police investigators to not want it solved?

Well, theres leads they seem to flatly refuse to follow up such as MacIntyre im not saying i belive the MacIntyre theory but it at lead deserves t investigation, and i dont think thats the only lead they have been given but so far they have only followed up on one lead that turned out to be false

I think, we the public, have very little insight into why certain things are/aren't, have/haven't been investigated.

Have you tried doing a little investigating yourself to see why the police may not have followed up on some leads? Ombudsman perhaps?

A South Australian politician has called for a monument to be installed at Adelaide's Glenelg beach in memory of the Beaumont children who vanished on Australia Day 60 years ago.

Liberal MLC and former TV journalist Frank Pangallo said he had written to the City of Holdfast Bay council requesting the erection of a memorial to remember Jane, Arnna and Grant Beaumont, who went missing from the beach on Australia Day in 1966, as well as all other missing persons.

Mr Pangallo threw three yellow roses into the water at Glenelg — one for each of the Beaumont children — today while announcing the idea.

"I think it's important that we never forget," he said.

Oh dear. I guess it makes sense that the man who abducted them knew for sure that they would not be picked up any minute by their dad.

But that would apply to a lot of men - the father’s colleagues for example.

i hae heard of before its an intresting theory but i can see one problem with if he was with nancy that day how could he be at the beach abducting the kids as well

I'm assuming the abductor was well known to the children. They would have been a handful for a single person had they resisted. He's lured them away, made them come willingly.
Were they seen near any vehicles? A van would be ideal. Perhaps he had a prestige car that would impress youngsters. Harry Phipps drove a top of the range Pontiac.
So many questions and still no nearer finding what happened 60 years later.
A bone fragment was recently found but not heard anything further.

Nancy might not have been truthful about when the children actually left. Someone people leave out information that could be embarrassing which they don't think will make a difference but every piece of informationo matters. The family was under so much scruitiny, if news like that got out there would have been scandal that took away from the search for the children.
