awhile ago....
someone from oz suggested in a ws thread with mostly American followers how NSW police where one of the most corrupt in the world.
It jarred me at the time and I thought that's a bit harsh and dramatic however....
That comment has stayed with me and slowly over time, sunk in .
It's true.

edited to add.... incredible investigative journos are the backbone of our justice system atm....these brave resourceful people are bringing public pressure to decades upon decades of non acceptable circumstances.
imo
I can't believe things are happening after the nothingness for so long.
I can only imagine how frustrated Janine's family has been.
Hope this leads to some answers

Hopefully we can discuss the case more once everyone can listen to the podcasts ( they are well worth listening to)
I'm so looking forward to listening to them.
Especially after how excellent The Teacher's Pet was.
It must make you so frustrated that you have to wait.
What I thought would happen would be that the ones who had early access to listening it would post here as usual.
I didn't expect that you would wait for us to catch up. XX
I've listened to them, no way I was going to wait
the witch hunt for jubes is utter hypocrisy DocFunny isn't it K-mac that Jubelin gets crucified when he was only doing his job IMO & nothing happens to these cops who destroy vital evidence & hinder investigations
I've just read a book by a former QLD cop ( in the 80's around the time of the Fitzgerald inquiry ) who worked UC ( under cover ) where they were expected to take drugs etc
The book is called Drugs, Guns & Lies by Keith Banks. Fascinating read. How the corruption was back than & how the cops used all these under cover cops who developed drug habits & the force had no responsability.
Gary has done 2 episodes also with Keith on his podcast I catch Killers.......well worth listening to![]()
He's a GOOD MAN and it's wonderful seeing him doing his own thing his own way![]()
so generous!I've listened to them, no way I was going to wait
I just don't want to spoil it for those who haven't![]()
what do you mean claire? Not so.
Sorry Tootsie my reply didn't seem to work above.
My understanding is that the podcast will be available to everyone, but episodes will be released to The Australian subscribers early?

The Night Driver podcast: Janine Vaughan stalked with calls, notes
“Don’t be scared of me. I don’t want to hurt you. I just want to get to know you. I will be in touch.”
These are the disturbing words a stalker sent Janine Vaughan not long after she moved to Bathurst
“It’s not over,” one reads. Another says: “I’ve missed you.”
There were strange telephone calls with heavy breathing down the line, and handwritten notes began turning up under her car’s windscreen wiper and in the letterbox of the home she shared with her new beau.
Then Janine got the most menacing note of all: “Get rid of him or I will. You too good for him.” The handwritten note had been tucked under her windscreen wiper after another trip to a fast-food outlet. At home, she found someone had broken into their garage.
I chat to Adam a fair bit, if anyone has any ideas they would like me to pass on please let me know.
