When the podcast first two episodes are free to listen to, what site do we go to ?
My usual podcast site Podbean doesn't list it as coming up.

And no I don't want to have to join Spotify or Apple anything to be able to listen to it.

Not sure, Tootsie. Right now it is only available via subscription to The Australian then downloading their app.

Generally these podcasts become available to the public on acast - and other places, but I find acast the easiest to access without signing up to anything.

Thanks South!

I usually use Podbean and from what you've said it will probably be available on most of the podcast sites.
I've only ever used Podbean and find it really easy and like the way it's set out, no clutter and no annoying ads, no having to sign up before access.
Will have a look at Acast, it's always good to have a backup just in case.
I did notice that only one episode is out so far, for subscribers. I thought more time had gone by than it had lol.

Ok I found the Night Driver podcast on Podbeam and to follow you needed to sign up, due to adult content it said.

So I did.

Even though I've been there for ages following the Marion Barter case and I knew signing up was free, I just didn't see the point because I was able to listen to all the Marion Barter podcasts anyway.
Anyway now that's done I'm going to see if there's an option to be notified of new podcasts.
There are already about 455 people following the Night Driver on Podbean so imagine the amount if you add up all the Podcast sites.
I'm so glad that Janine's case at last is getting all this attention.

Fingers crossed for the family and for justice.

Thanks for this hint, Tootsie. I just signed up to Podbean as well - and found the Night Driver trailer.
May be useful if Acast doesn't carry the podcasts that I want to listen to.

Oops just realised I put Beam instead of Bean lol

Somehow I always think Beam fits better lol.

And I've decided I'll sign up to Acast as well, so thanks for that, South!

Thanks drsleuth. I can only see the trailer on the Podbean site so far as I'm not a The Australian subscriber.

The Night Driver podcast: Siblings’ vow: We will never be able to stop looking until Janine’s body is laid to rest

“Instead of going to Bathurst Police Station, I’ve brought those bones home and I took them into Muswellbrook Police Station and, I mean, it just sounds stupid, I know, it sounds desperate, doesn’t it? I didn’t think that they’d take me seriously if I walked in with a bag of bones.”

Their trepidation was soon replaced by despair after testing revealed the bones had belonged to an animal.

:(

Episode 3: Innuendo

Brad Hosemans was a top Bathurst cop and the town’s deputy mayor. Some colleagues tipped him to rise to the top of the police force but when Janine Vaughan disappeared his life and standing began to crumble around him as rumours and gossip linked him to abduction and murder. Hosemans was popular with women but he repeatedly swore he had nothing to do with Janine and had never met or talked to her. Community suspicions were fuelled by evidence going missing from police custody. Homicide cops have found nothing to tie Hosemans to Janine and do not suspect him of foul play but nineteen years later he is still viewed by many locals with deep suspicion. They think it’s been a police cover up.
