I definitely think the intent to kill was there. . Im just not so sure it was premeditated. Perhaps he found some type of thrill in strangling her and got carried away? Or perhaps he felt like he had to kill her after the rapes? Im just not convinced he left the house intending to murder someone that night. . Rape, yes.. murder im not to sure. To me the sloppiness of the events after the murder points me in the direction of the murder being an afterthought of the rape.

I think I found the problem.

O.k so as I said a few posts up ... I was on Sydney rd this morning.
Here are some photos, eerily enough it was similar weather this morning as how it was when this horrible crime was committed.

O.k so this one was mainly for you paulie as your thoughts are Jill may usually have turned down Sparta pl... and the CCTV footage shows her kind of turning left.

I don't feel she would normally walk down there, it had a few empty shops ....and at 9am on a Sat morn was pretty quiet, it did have a cool coffee shop in the back corner though , but that was it.
I would not walk down there at 1:30 am it would be far more secluded & scary as opposed to Sydney rd at that time of night.

I feel it shows how effected by the alcohol she was and a bit 'wonky" in those bloody heels .... I wish she popped on her flats to walk home.

Hi everyone, another long time lurker, first time poster here
I've been reading these threads with interest since this horrific crime took place. The committal hearing and the subsequent release of some of the details have just riled me up again and I thought it was time I registered so I could add to the conversation.

My thoughts, for what they're worth:

It may not have been 'premeditated' as such (the murder), but I think he did intend to kill her. I've just been reading about manual strangulation in one of my friend's forensic medicine guides from when she was studying forensics, and judging by the pathologist's report, I just don't think it's possible to unintentionally manually strangle someone when there is the sustained force as documented by the pathologist. It does indeed take a long time to die from manual strangulation. Furthermore, I think the fact that he's threatened to kill his previous victims adds weight to that theory.

- From reading all the evidence available, it seems Bayley would fit the criteria for having a psychopathic personality. I don't believe for a second that he's sorry for what he's done or feels any remorse whatsoever. It's evident to me based on the initial police interview and confession, that he's putting on a remorseful act and is only concerned about his own predicament. Look how far he went in order to cover up the crime! He was not going to turn himself in to police because he genuinely felt remorse and couldn't go on living with what he'd done! Even more telling is how normal he was and unaffected by what he'd done he was afterwards. Eating kebabs, watching movies......acting as if he'd done nothing out of the ordinary. How do we know he hasn't killed before and somehow never been caught? We don't.

I think it's just UNREAL that this monster was out on the streets to begin with. I'm also wondering why he wasn't on the radar of police at the beginning - a violent serial rapist who lives in the area, on parole, identikit photo of him from the dutch backpacker rape....... This should NEVER have happened in the first place, and I think there should be something along the lines of a royal commission done to get to the bottom of it. As far as I'm concerned, there are a few other people with blood on their hands too.

This building actually had a car drive through the front of two shops a few weeks back.... all repaired now.

However just a tad further up is Dean's art store, I think that was the place the second CCTV footage was released showing AB running after Jill again.... It was much grainier and in B/W sorry cant find the link if you are unsure of what I am talking about.

It's just like the interviews with Gerard Baden-Clay - the way they word things, and what they actually say is just SO telling of their actual personality. I can't wait to see what a forensic psychiatrist thinks of them both. Psychopath as defined in 'Simpson's Forensic Medicine' describes Bayley to a tee IMO.

"The psychopathic personality is difficult to categorize into congenital or acquired, and the effects of nature and nurture are closely intertwined. In many ways a psychopathic personality is not a mental defect at all but simply one extreme end of the spectrum of variation in individual personality. Ok, so IMO i had always thought AB caught up with Jill pretty much just before Duchess Boutique, and some chit chat happened.
I think the guy who looked back actually witnessed AB running up to Jill ( as he was walking behind them AB may have even ran past him!) saw the moment AB caught up with her... and THAT is the reason he turned back, he felt something was not right. BUT not enough to get involved as at that point in time it was just chitchat???

From the CCTV footage I have also always felt Jill felt uncomfortable with AB, and that is why she made a call.... and knowing Tom was most probably asleep ( not wanting to disturb him, or maybe thinking he was a bit pissed at her for staying out, so he wasn't answering her texts) she decided to call her brother in Perth with the time delay it wasn't so late at night there, and of course ask about her dad, BUT if she was really really worried about her dad she perhaps would have called earlier ( I am saying this because as far as I know she did not call Perth earlier, not meaning she wasnt worried ..... just the time she chose to call iykwim?)
So anyway I thought perhaps AB started to walk away, passed Hope st.... and that Jill knew the cost was clear & she would be safe to turn off Sydney rd.


BUT after today I got the feel AB hid!
There are so many deep shop front entrances, this is a pic of one of them ( Duchess B is where the oval sign is)
I Think he may of hid in a shop entrance.... Jill thought the coast was clear & off she went.
He saw her walk passed, he saw her turn down Hope street & he just grabbed her.

Yes I to believe they captured this on CCTV.

Or he may have even turned down Hope street and hid there....don't think so unless she told him she lived "just down there" who knows ..... he may have?
