Boy he enjoyed his little photo shoot eh? He's a very troubled man.

I do think it is likely that this blowing up is directly linked to her disappearance.

It sounds very much like her disappearance could be related to this. Now murder seems less likely than hiding. But i wonder if one of his friends killed Karen.

Anthony Rickard has revealed he is the son of Karen’s husband, Borce, from a previous relationship, and lived with the family for several years.

Mr Rickard, himself a father of two, came to the attention of missing persons detectives after being interviewed at Sunshine police station last week over an unrelated matter.

“They asked if my dad had been up this way, if he knows anyone up this way, does he have (other) properties,” Mr Rickard said of a subsequent meeting with detectives at his Diggers Rest home.

“I said (to police), ‘If you’re going to say it, say it’.

“So I got them to say, ‘Did you kill your stepmum?’.

“I said, ‘I would have liked to ... ’.”

In an extraordinary interview with the Herald Sun, Mr Rickard, who admits battling an ice addiction, says:

HIS father does not “have it in him” to kill;

MRS Ristevski, 47, would not *spontaneously walk off, but had *spoken in the past about making plans to leave the family;

Mr Rickard said: “It was a shock that she disappeared after my phone call to her.

“I had nothing to do with that besides calling her to confront her — the next thing I know she’s gone.

“Then I felt the guilt that it was because of me, ringing up to confront her.”

He said his first thought was that Mrs Ristevski had ended her own life or had chosen to disappear. “You can only suppress it (guilt) for so long,” Mr Rickard said.

Or suicide if it was something she would be terribly embarrassed about if it came to light.

Ok, so AR confronted KR before her disappearance! Now I'm starting to think she's disappeared on her own accord.

There is a real lack of urgency around this case, from police, media and her family. I continue to be hopeful they have reason to think she is alive.

If she did walk off, where did she go? Surely she would know there is a search for her with all the MSM reports unless she's in Cooperwongarnook.

Her passport would have been checked for flights by now. We still haven't heard from her parents or family or if someone is hiding her. Stupid move if so.

IMO if she does miraculously walk into a police station somewhere knowing full well our police were wasting their time searching for her SHE SHOULD BE ARRESTED ON THE SPOT. No excuse.

Surely in a multi-million dollar estate one of the houses' CCTV captured a vehicle lights driving past in the early hours.

I think her body is not around that reserve but elsewhere.

What does Borce do for a crust?
Was there some DV under that roof?

Someone mentioned this runs parallel with Sharon Edwards who still hasn't been found.

He can’t remember where he was on June 29 — the day Mrs Ristevski disappeared — although a stamp on paperwork shows he visited a pharmacy to have documents signed.

When I meet him, Mr Rickard is nervous and hasn’t been sleeping.

In the past three months, he’s lost 15kg and his relationship.

He points to a blue, swollen hand, an injury he says he got from punching the side of his couch in a moment of anxiety.

The last few days have brought out a spate of alternate theories that make this less straightforward compared to the Sharon Edwards/Baden-clay cases...
We now have:
-runaway disappearance with or without help because of debts/family conflict/marital discord (or a mixture of all three)
-at least one family member with motive/means to make someone disappear (and perhaps others in his circle that would help)
-a witness to a creepy guy who had been propositioning women on the river path
-And, of course, the usual suspect.
The police must have their hands full.
The recent piece in the media about the stepson does seem to state that the suspect interview CD was for a unrelated incident as his statement as a 'witness' was made at his house.

I don't know where I sit at the moment but as statistics are usually my friend I'm leaning towards the usual suspect.

well we know he didnt go to bed the night of 28 june. On 29 June the posts started all the way thru to 4am ish in the morning, then back again from 1:30pm ish.

So does this been prior to 16 July thereabouts, he was never interviewed by detectives? That's strange.

The article explains how AR' gf wanted him to confront his past, so to speak, he then called KR.

I can't quite settle on an answer to this 'revelation' yet. I'm in a bit of a quandary. I hate myself for thinking this but alibi or not?

After reading the Herald Sun article, it seems to me more like shes hiding out.

Maybe the husbands helped her to dissapear and hence, why he doesn't want to talk to the media. Obviously the father knew what the family conflict was and sided with Karen, so maybe still trying to protect her by helping her hide out.

Sounds like it. AR was interviewed at the Sunshine Police Station on an unrelated matter. There was then a subsequent meeting with detectives at AR's Digger's Rest home where they asked him questions about his father and also asked him if he'd killed Karen. His reply to that question was ‘I would have liked to ... ’ . All of this apparently took place after 16 July, two weeks after Karen disappeared.
