I am beginning to feel the 'second site' is perhaps a shop along Milleara Rd with CCTV footage, and now they need more CCTV footage to know which route Borce took in disposing of Karen. I feel this is the truth. Milleara Rd looks like a busy road with shopping strips along it. I initially thought the 'second site' was of direct significance, though it seems to be of only secondary significance in terms of CCTV.

Jesus!

Upon a second reading of the article, i am CONVINCED it is the husband. They mention the son is cooperating, but they do not mention the same of the husband, which they surely would have, had he been cooperating. At first i thought it was just the Herald Sun building suspense; but it is most certainly not. The husband killed his wife and the police need more evidence to convict him, otherwise it is a circumstantial case and a gamble at court in attempting to gain a conviction.

I'm going to chill out now and pause my speculations as i've just done the full 360 and ended up right where i started. sheesh!

The husband murdered the wife, and the nearby Milleara Rd has some significance. I wonder what. I wonder if they own a second property there. I wonder where he disposed of Karen. <mod snip>

Lol......yes a chill is in order I think...🤬🤬🤬 scottkam...

Your running at 1000 miles an hour......not a bad thing....just need to stop and refuel I think.

Milleara Road is the main street for all the streets running off the roads where Karen lives. If you want to head anywhere..from where they lived you would have to go to Millera Road and either turn left or right to go anywhere.....so it makes perfect sense that police would set up a caravan ..enquiry there...

Personally I feel it wont accomplish anything...... Im thinking she never left the area alive....so she would have been in a boot (sorry sounds horrible )..........but...definately interested i reading the article tomorrow in the paper..

Night all

Thanks frogwell...that link got me in...

Truthfully I only gleamed that the news media was speculating that posibly the husband wasn't co operating anymore...but it was their (newsagencys) speculation... nothing to back their claims up with police confirmation......and the rest of the article was much of what we already know IMO.....

Thanks again... so tired...

Ahhh sleep beckons...

Yep I think you are right as far as police looking for cctv.....if a vehicle of interest had left their residence it would have had to entered Milleara Road.......Most of the shops are to the grrr..well...if you were heading towards the city and more densely populated areas....if you go the other way...its just houses along the main road before you hit the ring road.......if you know where the cameras are...as most of us do...you can find exits that take you to more isolated areas........

Thats why I said earlier that Id be looking at Brimbank Park or some of the areas like Milburn, out the back of tbe airport..

Without CCTV footage, it seems like they have squat on the husband.

I think he would have strangled her inside of the home, so as not to leave any blood. I do not recall any mention of forensics being inside of the house. That would be odd- not having forensics in by now- wouldn't it? If the husband was suspected of having murdered his wife, wouldn't forensics have searched their home by now? All we got was the reporter asking Borce whether he killed his wife. Surely if forensics were inside of the house it would have been mentioned in the media. If they were inside is significant and it would have been mentioned, surely. They seem to be framing up the husband, yet no forensics have been inside of the property. That is odd, i would think. Hmm... time for a rethink, though i'll keep it all to myself, promise. haha! I've done enough flip flopping for now!!

ETA: they HAVE been inside- they took two cars away for forensic testing. I forgot that detail. So they would have searched the house, too. Obviously nothing has been yielded.

I think the PoI who's clammed up is her brother-in-law (husband's brother). To me, there has always been something very 'off' about him.

I don't think the fact her phone hasn't been used is relevant - if she had planned to disappear or leave her husband then she probably had a burner phone at the ready.

I, too, get an uneasy feeling about Borce's brother, unfortunately. I think it might be unfair, but i got a funny feeling about him. I think it was probably unfair because when a woman goes missing and a male is presented, we've grown cynical in this country and we think he was involved. He might be a good person and not be at all involved, which is why i feel bad about feeling a bit suspicious of him. It's a baseless feeling, really, though a sentiment nonetheless. It's difficult to be cynical because everyone becomes potentially tainted in some way to the cynical thinker. As a contrast, i didn't suspect the female family spokesperson, Karen's aunt, of being involved. It just goes to show men have possibly cried wolf one too many times and now everyone is wary of them. It's a sad situation.

Borce could be the victim of the Bayden Clay effect, too, though i think it's a mighty uphill battle for him now....

Didn't Borce's brother say that police had interviewed a 52-year-old man and the police quickly refuted it, I think maybe it was correct and the police passed it off so as to not scare this 3rd person into silence or fleeing. Hmm

I don't recall him saying anything other than the police had interviewed a second man - which the police denied, saying that only one man had been interviewed (Borce at that stage).

Deleting temporary Internet files usually gets it working again.

Milleara Road: Could phone pings have led them there, or was a car picked up on CCTV?

Interesting about a witness clamming up, wonder if he's hired a lawyer?

It seems significant that the stepson is described as having provided 'credible information' to the police about the family conflict. I think that term 'credible' is a rebuttal to the public's assumption that the police would simply write off the claims of someone who appears to be an embittered, psychologically unstable drug addict. For those of you who never saw the now deleted FB conversation, Borce was accused of having been a participant in the abuse, not just having knowledge of it. If I were him, I'd get a lawyer and put up a 'sudden wall of silence' too. I'm still not convinced that there's ANY murder--I think the police are trying to pressure him into talking about the stepson's allegations and confirm that Karen is in fact alive and hiding away somewhere.
