After a conversation with my partner in reference to protecting a child for example SR how far would you go to cover/protect an innocent party?

When Karen was found there were only reports of her brother going to the site. I imagine reporters including ACA would know where it was, but...... If nobody else went, how would VR know the exact spot?

Exactly sleepinoz, that's what I was thinking, how did he know the exact site unless he had been there before.

Yes for sure (covering the story, not a chance meeting imo) and someone put some doubt in VR s mind. Unless ACA has been camped nearby for the past year, checking everyone who attends the site.

Chance meeting, yeah right!!

VR loves that fur lined vest.

Not going to bat for VR, but the road is named and there are many photos that could lead you in the right direction ... ACA found it and they certainly aren't suspects. I do think it is hinky that he would head out there by himself all these months after she was found, what is he hoping to achieve? If it is for emotional reasons you'd think he'd go in the aftermath with family.

They obviously can't use any forensic evidence of BR's found in the car, he has already confirmed he drove it that day. They need to prove he was in it at that time, in a different place to where he stated he was, to be able to pin this on him.

Even so he will probably change his story once again.

If only he'd pulled into a service station, they have quality cameras everywhere.

Can any of our members confirm or otherwise if Karens car's computer can (if necessary) give up the last recent GPS coordinates of its travels? Could this be the US evidence link?

I don't know. going on previous form I don't think VR is the best cooked chop on a BBQ and if this was a chance encounter, we will find out more on Monday, it shows that maybe he is the weakest link. If he wanted to pay respects why not go to the cemetery where she is buried.

Yes I am sure the site could be found rather easily.
Seems a bit too coincidental that VR would just happens to be walking from behind the trees right into the lense of the ACA camera.
imo

Anyone driving from Melbourne (taylors Lakes is on the way) would use the Calder Freeway. It is a good road.
Before the Diggers Rest turn off is a BP service station. So you wouldn't turn off at Diggers to get fuel. Not sure you can buy any there anyway.
Did BR say he turned off the highway just after Calder Park? If he did then he has taken the correct exit, but instead of going back over the highway he has continued through To Diggers Rest. To get back to the highway from Diggers involves a lot of weaving through streets.
however the way the car in question has taken would take him to the Diggers Rest to Toolern Vale road. Which passes the previous search area of Toolern Vale and the Toolern Vale General Store. If the car turned right there it could then travel to Gisborne.

I hope I have made sense. I'm new at this.

Actually you can turn around directly after the BP on the Calder Fwy. There's a single lane u turn just after a bend. It's pretty it's dangerous and pretty much a suicide entrance during peak hour that I'm sure they'll upgrade or block off in the not too distant future. But you definitely don't have to travel up to the Diggers Rest entrance to turn around and return back to their home.

Do you think he might have been paid? Or more likely set up?

I live about 45 min from Mt Macedon and I can guarantee I would drive around all day and not find the exact spot, but then again I have a poor sense of direction.

:dunno:
I am interested to see if he ends up having anything to say.
