I ride past every week. Nothing happening up there - actually you can't even tell there has been anything. Its very bushy - the under growth is getting thick and I think (hope) forensics got all they needed. I can't imagine they would need a site re visit would they?
The site would have changed too much with animals, weather, growth and... visitors...
Its very muddy up there at the moment. We have had a fair bit of rain.

Wonder if Borce or Sarah ever visited the site and laid done flowers or even a cross. Hmmm wonder if they've even bothered visiting her final resting place at Willy cemetery after the burial.

Cads, did you see any cross or flowers?
Moreinfo, IIRC Karen's brother ventured there to pay his respects.

BTW Cads please take care when up there.

I don't know the laws but at what point would they be able to claim on Karen's superannuation, her Will or even sell off her assets such as her car.

Anyone know if BR could get his grubby little paws on her accounts or insurance considering his lawyer has described him as No 1 suspect.

No idea however they may get great advice from Sarah's financial advisor boyfriend 😉

That's a double garage and if she's parking in the drive what cars are inside? I wonder if they got Karen's car back?

I just had a sinking feeling BR might have a new squeeze parking her car in the garage. Would SR or Karen's family stand for something like that?

Only time I have seen the garage open was when the press were waiting for him - weeks and weeks ago and the day of the funeral. Geez you want to be careful about moving a new squeeze into the premises. Personally if it was me I would be parking in the garage, of course if it was empty.

Can anyone remember if Sarah did the 3AW interview before she and her father spoke to the media outside the Avondale police station?

There is ........ nothing.
Some fresh flowers back when she was found - but not a thing that I have seen. I don't go right next to the actual burial - as I have seen it once - don't need to see it again.
So I am about 20 mtrs away when I go past.
No cross - no one there - nothing. You can't even seen where the police had been ...
Breaks my heart actually - I just want justice for Karen and there is nothing...
I feel like the perpetrator is possibly walking around telling themselves that they got away with ..... well murder...
Karen didn't deserve this.

Strange isn't it - no funeral notices either....

Thanks TGY - I do take care - always with a riding partner and my trusty steed.... :cowboy:

Why cant they tell us when Sarah last saw her mum?
Why do they have to hold onto this important bit of info?
Why oh why!
Why won't family and friends who want this solved, just let us know?
100% they are reading here.
Why are they holding this back from us?
What are police, friends and family gaining from not telling the public this one question on our minds?

Why?:gaah:
Borce shut down in his second interview presumably the 8 July 2016.
Was it SR,BR or someone else that reported KR missing?
When was SR interviewed by police? Was she?
Why did she give a radio interview, but said so little to the waiting media outside the police station on the 2nd July.

Why has that radio interview vanished?

That comment gave me a sinking feeling......

This makes me wonder what kind of advice SR & BR were given & how desperate they were to achieve it.
Some financial advisors don't have two cents to rub together themselves yet give (sometimes) bad advice to the unsuspecting, like shares in a sinking company. JMthoughts & experience.

What do you think is holding the police back?
I think the body was too badly decomposed for them to be able to determine a cause of death. I also think that it would be reasonable to think that KR and BRs dna etc would be all over their cars and house etc. So maybe harder to say that she was or wasn't with BR.

I am surprised they haven't been able to rule in or out more with cctv.

This is a long article about how wonderful Stary is.

Meet 'terrorist lawyer' Rob Stary: 'I don't judge. I don't prosecute. I defend'

Melbourne criminal defence lawyer Rob Stary has built a career representing everyone from terror suspects to drug addicts. Does the outspoken advocate ever regret what he says – and what he does?

Of course, not all those he represents are so immediately sympathetic. His front-page clients right now, for instance, include those accused of plotting a Christmas Day terror attack in Melbourne, the man accused of murdering underworld figure Graham "The Munster" Kinniburgh in 2003, and Borce Ristevski (husband and key suspect in the murder of mother Karen Ristevski)

3AW interview must have been on or prior to 3rd July, the date of this article.

The daughter of missing Avondale Heights woman Karen Ristevski has made an emotional plea for public help to find her mother.
Sarah Ristevski, 21, told 3AW she had reached out to her mother's friends on Facebook but to no avail.

JULY 3 2016

The first article I can find about the presser outside the Avondale police station is dated 14th July (which was a Thursday, which is the day the confronting question was asked outside the police station - so, presumably, that day).

Borce Ristevski refused to answer when a Seven News journalist asked him the confronting question on Thursday.
'Did you kill Karen, Borce?' the reporter said.

Oh, maybe I have that ^^^^ wrong. Was the Avondale police station presser this one? I think maybe it was. So, about the same time as the 3AW phone interview?

Three days had passed since his wife Karen had walked out of the family home.

Mr Ristevski was now standing in front of TV cameras and microphones looking into the faces of journalists.

Dressed in a blue shirt, he was wearing glasses but they couldn’t hide the dark circles under his eyes. He was pale and tense as he tried to comfort his sobbing daughter.

Thanks SA
I actually meant the first appeal where SR was holding the picture of her Mum.

This article updated 2 July 2.22pm
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-07-...lbourne-woman-highly-irregular-police/7563218

Senior Constable Ante Sandric said Ms Risteveski has health problems but her family is worried because her disappearance is out of character.
Police in Melbourne are concerned for the welfare of a 47-year-old woman who has not been seen since Wednesday, calling the behaviour "highly irregular".

“I just want my mum to come home,” she said.
“It’s not like her to miss work as well.
“It’s not like her”............SR said.
BR said “She has always walked back in the door after calming down.
“And this time we’ve got concern and that’s why we made the report.......

JULY 3 2016

Sarah Ristevski, 21, told 3AW she had reached out to her mother's friends on Facebook but to no avail.
"There's no leads at all, no sightings, nothing," she said. "I've logged onto her Facebook and contacted all of her friends. No one has seen her."

SR did the radio interview on the 2nd or 3rd. (Fri or Sat)
BR clammed up in his second interview on the 8th (Friday)
I wonder if SR has been formally interviewed by the police. Maybe she clammed up before her father.
imo

The interesting thing is that somewhere soon after her radio interview, and her FB messages to her mum's friends, and her first appeal where she was crying and holding up the pic of Karen, something definitely changed for Sarah.

By the time they had that snap presser (with her aunt doing all the speaking) - just a week or so later - Sarah had quit participating in big efforts for her mum. Left all the speaking to Patricia. Controlled her father's reaction at the presser.

It is hard to believe that it was just because the police were picking on daddy. How does that stop an adult child wanting her mum to be found, wanting to assist with the efforts, wanting to keep appealing? Especially if she knows daddy is not guilty of the murder. All the more reason to find Karen, and her killer.

Yes it is hard to believe SA.
I just am not getting why SR would not have been using the media's interest to appeal for her missing mother.
If she believed her father was innocent. Tell the media that if they asked.

I guess the difficulty in being front of the media is not knowing what questions you will be asked and there are so many where SR is concerned

Karen Ristevski’s still alive, claims brother-in-law
ANDREW JEFFERSON, Herald Sun
August 23, 2016 10:00pm

Speaking from his Hoppers Crossing home, Vasko Ristevski said his brother did not have it in him to murder his wife.
“A lot of husbands do that (murder) for some reason, but no way is Borce capable of that,” he said.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/la...w/news-story/b972fba3710b6668b8b140d5d706954e

I am assuming Vic was asked do you think your brother killed his wife? Or why else would he say something like that?

A day in the life of Borce Ristevski
ANDREW JEFFERSON, Herald Sun
February 24, 2017

BORCE Ristevski was tinkering in his garage one quiet Sunday afternoon last August when I first met him............
Later that night I was surprised to receive a phone call from Mr Ristevski .........

Same journo
Maybe Vic gave him a call as well, on that quiet Sunday arvo.

My gut says Mr Borce Teflon killed Karen but again today I wonder if Karen had the same fate as Kerry Whelan who was abducted by a disgruntled ex-employee who blackmailed her husband for $1mil. What if someone thought Karen was worth a lot of money, abducted her thinking this and all went so terribly wrong.

Kerry Whelan's body was never found.

Bernie Whelan had never handled so much cash - huge wads of $100 notes tied with rubber bands and packed into calico bank bags. It was the million-dollar ransom for the life of his beloved wife, Kerry, kidnapped from Parramatta's Parkroyal Hotel four days earlier.

"Follow all instructions or your wife will die," read the typed letter, which turned up in the mailbox at Bernie's Kurrajong home in Sydney's north-west on May 7, 1997, just 24 hours after Kerry went missing. Bernie followed the orders in the ransom note - all except the demand he not contact the police.

Wouldn't there be evidence of Borce trying to scrounge up the ransom money, tgy? Borce is/was an Uber driver, wouldn't that exclude them being considered millionaires worth kidnap and ransom?
What about the phones and the petrol gauge excuse? Why would he still declare he hasn't got financial problems if his wife died because of their supposed wealth? Wouldn't he worry about his daughter being targeted?

Borce didn't alert the police Karen was kidnapped nor does he seemed concerned about catching Karen's killer, he's poles apart from Kerry's husband, imo.
