Hmmm...Interesting that the Detectives were back at the Avondale Heights home this morning!
(snipped)

I missed that? Media were there, were detectives there also?

I hope today Borce is enjoying his favourite coffee, walking in the sunshine ( maybe on a beach somewhere ) because VERY soon he will not be able to do those things because he'll be locked in a cell !

I heard that on our local radio station that detectives and media were back at the house this morning...but after checking all the other links today, it seems that it was only the media were at the house.

Police may have been in possession of a major clue to the mysterious death of Karen Ristevski for at least five months before it came to light in the past week.
Detectives from the missing persons squad have made one of the biggest breakthroughs yet in the ongoing homicide investigation – a sighting of a Mercedes-Benz coupe similar to the one belonging to Ms Ristevski close to where her body was found in Mount Macedon.

Lone man standing by black mercedes, possibly waiting for another vehicle that can manoeuvre wet, muddy dirt road?

If he'd used any other car it might have gone unnoticed but that Merc IS A STANDOUT. Huge fail.
Wouldn't it be unbelievable if it was caught on dashcam.

I'd notice THAT car!
I'd crick my neck with envy.

I just saw BR doing the pre-dawn escape this morning with the female Reporter chasing him. He appears to be wearing a high-visibilty outfit so wonder what he is doing for work now? Might be going away for an extended Holiday soon!

Police are everywhere in Macedon currently... let's hope for some news soon!

Police say they have made a "significant breakthrough" in their investigation into the death of Karen Ristevski, after they finally tracked down and interviewed a witness who had contacted them more than four months ago.

How many times do the police ask for information from the public and then we see crucial information surface months/years later? Daniel Morcombe comes to mind.

American police bring in a guru on cold cases and always finds overlooked critical information tucked away in the archives. (A cold case show I saw on Netflix)

Finally tracked down and interviewed?
Did this person phone in anon?
Tim Day said the observation was articulated before the discovery of Karen's body and we have only identified the witness in the last week or should I say been in a position to speak to the witness in the last week.

Ok so the info was "articulated" the last week of June 2016, and reported 4 months ago and the person has spoken with police very recently.

Ar around 12pm. Yes, was that about the time his phone was switched back on to call for help?

If the mobile service around that location is bad so maybe the knucklehead had to get out to get service so he could be identified. Jeez!

How many stooges are there?

Yes TGY...It never ceases to amaze me :banghead:...

Great to see Karen's thread come alive again with these latest "new developments"...

I wonder how many other tidbits are filed away in their archives unattended! :notgood:...MOO

Notes:
- Missing Person Squad Detectives, Search and Rescue, SES are conducting some line searches this morning. Looking along the roots along Mt. Macedon Road, Waterfall Road, Childers Road, Salisbury Road. Through into Loch Road, to the area at which the body was located.

BBM: Is Borce a smoker? Standing outside the Merc having a smoke? Possibly threw a butt out of the car window? Looking for a butt with possible DNA on it?

Didn't TGY suspect a pack of smokes in Vasko's pocket? Maybe Borce is a smoker, too.

Now, that would go a long way to being a case clincher, I would think. Along with all the other evidence they already have.

(Great summary, tappedin. Thank you for that. I was unable to listen to the live presser. Hopefully I can find it somewhere a bit later.)

:D:doh: nup that was the time he arrived home after missing turns and hitting bumps and kept calling Karen's phone and bugger it kept going to message.
So did Boris really put Karen in the back of the merc, head up the Calder swing by Diggers all so close to his ice addict step son's. Both phones in the car and ON.
Head on over to Toolern Vale. Big brothers psych was on to that very early on. She told him to explore there and it seems he did.
Continue your drive back across the Calder and have a bit of a stop over at the junction of two road just 1.5 kms from where your murdered wife was found months later. Get out of the car and stand near the distinctive little black merc.
There has been a witness to that car being up there since the last week in June.
wt@ is taking this arrest so long?:gaah:
