Hmm ... seems someone did this to you, Sarah. I wonder who that could be. Hopefully not the person you seem to be protecting, hey?

I think that Sarah knows far more than she is letting on. Maybe Dad is supplying the money for what she needs?

What do you think she needs?

Thinking back to this article which was written just after news of the phone pings broke...

"Mr Ristevski says staff at the Bella Bleu boutique, which the couple ran at Watergardens shopping centre in Taylors Lakes, rang him later that morning to say Karen had failed to show up for work, leading him to call her frequently on her mobile phone without getting any reply."

I wonder when the 2 hours of the phone being off occured? In another article br says he was out driving from 10.30 to 12pm which is total rubbish if he was spotted at childers rd at around 12pm. I always thoughthe might have turned off his phone at diggers rest which is why he made up the story of turning back there (thinking he is untraceable). But then how did the staff also call him in the morning if his phone is off? Was his phone off during another period of the day? Maybe two trips??

Could be just poor misreporting and it was just later that day rather than morning that the staff called. Although, maybe that was the suspicious activity the childers rd witness saw? Br pacing around on the phone?

Exactly! Can we believe a single word that he's said??

Karen went for a walk ...
He didn't leave the house ....
He drove over a bump and it fixed the fuel gauge ....
He turned around (way before Digger's Rest) and went home ...
His finances are absolutely fine ...
His finances are just peachy ...
Oh, and did I mention? There are no problems with his finances, all okay in that department.

It is seriously not hard to see why he quickly stopped talking to the police. How could he ever remember all the lies he has told, and stick to the same story repeatedly?!

Apologies in advance.
When I read this post SA, my blood ran cold at "he drove over a bump and it fixed the fuel gauge" I've read this many times before but tonight I wondered if that bump was Karen and then all was fixed (metaphorically speaking).
Maybe I just have thought of poor Karen Chetcuti and her awful death in my mind, but one wonders. I think BR may easily intersperse fact and fiction.

Where is he getting the money from?

I don't think police are going to give a detailed timeline. Her phone/bank accounts not being used since Karen was reportedly last seen (by her prime suspect husband) are standard lines used whenever a person is reported missing. Just means that they were not used after that time, but they may not have been used earlier that morning either, or even the previous night.
The point they are making is that she was not communicating, did not grab a bunch of money, suspicious and worrying circumstances had arisen.

I think I recall that police had asked neighbours for their CCTV recordings from the day before Karen was reportedly last seen, as well as the reported day of her disappearance, and after. I am just having trouble finding that link now. But I believe it was mentioned around the time they spoke of Karen's car being caught on CCTV leaving the residence on the 29th June.

ETA: All I can find right now is this sentence, which may insinuate that police had collected CCTV that did show Karen's movements a day or so prior to her disappearance. But I believe there was something a bit more specific.

Police have reviewed CCTV footage taken from the area, but cameras had not captured Mrs Ristevski’s movements on the day she vanished.

While there was no CCTV footage from the family home, police have sifted through many hours of video, which — by now — would have enabled them to determine who came and went in the suburb on the day of her disappearance..............

Another neighbour, Christine Dedic, says police took footage from a security camera outside her house, adding that investigators had obtained vision from other properties in the area.

I've been meaning to get back to this interesting post by moreinfo. Not sure how to bring a thread forward so have done a screenshot. Hope that's okay. Still trying to track down the elusive mistress that so many of us think exists, but that we don't know for sure actually does.

I see 40 Doherty Street is listed in the white pages as belonging to a certain VR. My my my! The lads have so many fingers in the same pie. Pecan pie!

Ristevski disappearance: Suspicious minds that can’t be shaken

Thanks for the link, soso. Excellent. A couple of things ...

Evidently police would have CCTV of the comings and goings on the days preceding and following Karen's disappearance, too, as those CCTV cameras record for more than just one day without overwriting the recording. So they probably have a very good idea of when Karen came home, when Sarah left, when Borce came home ......

While there was no CCTV footage from the family home, police have sifted through many hours of video, which — by now — would have enabled them to determine who came and went in the suburb on the day of her disappearance.

And I wonder what reason Borce gave for not going to the store on the day that Karen disappeared, as he was always there apparently, and he could have just taken his own car and helped out in the shop in her absence. Sounds as if Karen rarely got a break from him. And maybe his Uber driving consisted of a lot of shoppers going to and from that shopping centre.

“He is an amazing person and he was always in here with her and helping her, even on quiet days,’’ she says.

The police will have comprehensive CCTV of Karen's movements. petrol stations, lifts, salons, shopping center movements.

I feel the the time is close & it will be full of twists and turns.
Be still my heart.
