I think I agree with you decsimp ( I used to be undecided, now I'm just not to sure). The thing I can't understand is that if it was not planned there would be a lot of mistakes made that would make it easier to lay charges on the suspect. With all the mistakes that have been made, phone pings, rubbish alibis, etc there is still no arrest. BR must be very smart or the luckiest suspect there is. IMO.

Not so much smart ..... well maybe in that he retained a Lawyer who knows what his doing .... Rob Stary is nobodies fool ...

He has represented some hairy characters in the past .....

Yeah because there seems to be alot of circumstantial evidence in this case. ...... and Im sure we have seen people arrested for less in the past..

So police must be working very very hard against his Lawyer to make sure they have everything they need .... or.... it is more complex ....

Tim Day did take out the word "Prime" suspect in that interview on Childers rd ..... so there may be a big chunk of something we all don't know about .... ?????? dunno for sure ...???

“He’s just another person we’ve spoken to ... keep in mind, he says to us he’s the last person to see her leave the house,’’ Inspector Dennis replies...........................

While there was no CCTV footage from the family home, police have sifted through many hours of video, which — by now — would have enabled them to determine who came and went in the suburb on the day of her disappearance.

Is it more complex?

Taking out the word "prime" could mean either, he's no longer the most likely suspect, just one among others or a less likely option, or, he's now the only suspect--we're confident it was him.

Could be?

Maybe what went on inside the house ... what no cctv would ever have seen.

we don't have a time of death ..... just BR statement that she was alive that morning, was she??? ...

Only two other people that we know..... would know the honest answer to that .... and both have discontinued helping the police ...

So maybe it's a bit more complex ...lol...I don't know?

Yep it's all up for interpretation. ... I wonder how long before Karen (RIP) and her family/friends will see any justice ..

Yaba daba do.
Have sound. Now enjoying Troops great songs!!!

Ended up contacting HP, who accessed Laptop remotely.
After great service, asked to speak to boss, and conveyed complements ++++.
Worker phoned back later, from India, very appreciative, as Goodies now for her.
She stated I made her day. Karma happens.

In Australia, response was :no help, hanging up, must pay!!!!!

She's now keen to follow websleuths.

I wanted to reply earlier but got caught up with another thread.

I agree Makara, what is Inspector Tim Day thinking? As we can see in this thread, what a mess of an investigation, the loose cannon step son with an axe to grind getting media attention for his dubious blog, Karen's name dragged through the mud with allegations that may or may not be true but at the end of day, is it important? Obviously, if it's true and the victim is a child, massively important but to the murder of Karen? Who knows, Tim Day doesn't appear to have the answers, so it's left to the public? What a balls up! Karen deserves justice but this is playing out like a Shakespearean tragedy!JMO

Thanks PS. you're a star, with the great work you're providing from the South African trial. :loveyou:

Unfortunately, a tragic end has come to the investigation of the disappearance of Tanja Ebert, 23, with her 41 yr old husband Michael Burdon committing suicide. Two very young children were left unhurt in the family home. A search team are still looking for Tanja, she's been missing since 8 August, 2017, police believe she was murdered.

This is Tanja's thread - http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...oseworthy-SA-8-Aug-2017&highlight=tanja+ebert

MSM- http://www.9news.com.au/national/2017/08/16/15/16/desperate-search-for-missing-mother-of-two

There are similarities to the disappearance of Karen Ristevski and Sharon Edwards.

According to Tanja's husband, Michael Burdon, there was an argument while driving home to their property and Tanja exited their car leaving behind her children, her purse, passport and phone but she had taken “a large amount of cash”.
Tanja was reported missing 2 days later by an unnamed family member. There are reports Tanja was unhappy in her marriage well before her disappearance.

Another reason police may opt not to use the term "prime" suspect is to avoid being accused of tunnel vision in the investigation IMO

As this case drags on, I've gone back to reading some of the earlier threads.

According to Andrew Rule's article in the Herald Sun on 16/9/16, Karen was last seen on Wednesday 29/6/16 and her daughter didn't report her missing until the following Saturday 2/7/16.

Where did BR and Sarah think Karen had gone?

So Karen doesn't come home on Wednesday night, doesn't turn up at her shop on Thursday, doesn't come home on Thursday night and it's the same thing all over again on Friday.

Sarah finally chose to report her mother missing on Saturday 2/7/16...Unbelievable !!!

I found reading between the lines of Andrew Rule's article very interesting and he revealed quite a lot.

Published in the Herald Sun on 16/9/16.

OT -

Thanks Tmar, I'm just another anonymous member addicted to this site, lol. :)

I have cooling off periods from time to time which I recommend if you're a frequent poster, some of these cases/trials can be quite heartbreaking, and if you've had personal experience like any of these victims or family/friends of victims have, it can be triggering.

We're a pretty decent bunch of people, and some clever wordsmiths, investigating and puzzle solving geniuses among us, very proud to be a small part of that.

Justice must be done, and seen to be done. Gordon Hewart

I wonder did BR suggest to Karen to close the last remaining Bella Bleu shop to minnimise losses as the takings had been very low and Karen had had a bad day at the shop on the 28/6/16.

Maybe BR and Sarah didn't want the business operating at a loss any longer and Karen was against this.

Maybe BR found that the only way for the shop to close was by having Karen gone.

I think it has always been about the money. MOO

I wrote to Mr Rule about that article when it came out and he said that it appears Sarah reported it straight away on the 29th, it was in police tweets then, 29th or 30th [emoji848] ...... Andrew Rule was referring to when the official interviews took place outside Avondale police station. Hope that clears it up for you, article wasn't clear.

So, Sarah reported her as a missing person? I would think a husband would know that his wife was missing before an adult daughter, whom presumably had her own life, would.

Off topic- another episode of Catching a killer is on tonight.

Thanks Morrisa, for reminder.

If half as good as last episode, I'll be glued to the set, getting hints for this case.
But I guess our wonderful police, may do OK, without my input!!!

I think the delay in an arrest taking place could be due to:
1. The police want a watertight case in their hands, especially seeing BR has a supposedly decent lawyer on his side
2. There are others involved -not only BR so they need to have pretty damning proof thereof
3. The loan shark theory stated earlier in this thread. Did BR follow them? Is this why him and SR have sealed their mouths?

I find it strange that if you are completely innocent that you would not cooperate with police, especially SR- unless you are indeed guilty and have been instructed by legal team to hush or you are completely afraid of someone who threatened you not to talk...

At the moment all arrows point to BR but it is just so bizarre.

IMO JMOO MOO IMOO

Suspicious. I was so emotional, that I cried when funeral was broadcast, in previous episode.
Have my tissues, on hand, for tonight's show.
