Whoops
IN a fresh twist in the Karen Ristevski mystery, it has emerged the family’s mechanic accidentally gave police an incorrect statement regarding a faulty fuel gauge in the murdered woman’s Mercedes.
Kemal Yusuf, who runs the Mercedes-Benz Service Station in Milleara Rd, Keilor East, told police in the past week that husband Borce Ristevski had never mentioned a problem with a faulty fuel gauge when he brought the car in.

But after a phone call from Mr Ristevski on Wednesday, Mr Yusuf said he had been mistaken about this.

^^^ Thanks soso!! One can hardly blame BR for ringing and setting the record straight! No doubt a genuine mistake on Mr Yusuf's part, but a mistake nonetheless.

Edit: Thanks for the twitter link, Bo! Manage to view the video there! :D

No worries UT ..... BR did not need Mr Yusuf assistance anyways. Nor did he need the auto bloke around in Slater.
All he needed was to hit a bump......all fixed.....:D

True...still, can't have mistakes like that happening. Look what happened? I think the others have taken off to celebrate--they're going to be a tad disappointed Mr. Yusuf's made a mistake! Look what Bo posted... Oh FFS!!!!

Good thing ole Borce reminded Mr Yusuf ...:winko:
My Yusuf probably made Borce look like a liar!! :innocent:

Mr Yusuf said on Wednesday: “Borce rang me today. I thought it was about three years (ago when I last serviced the Mercedes) but he said it was two years ago,” he said.

“He mentioned the fuel gauge to me (today), but I didn’t do the job (originally) so I didn’t remember it.”

“But when he mentioned it this morning (Wednesday), I remembered.

He said he had advised Mr Ristevski to go to an automotive electrician.

“I didn’t even look at it,” Mr Yusuf said. “I didn’t fix it.”

Andrew Jefferson and David Hurley,
Whoops indeed, it was front page news today ... oh dear .... that mechanic had his face pixelated, asked to remain anonymous and that his workplace not be disclosed ...... in the latest update his full name's been published, workplace named and now says he was mistaken about it all ... oh boy, what a difference a few hours makes [emoji848]

Good thing ole Borce convinced Mr Yusuf ...

So the fuel gauge was broken for two years and Boris managed to hit that perfect bump and save 900 bucks on the morning his wife disappeared.
Just ruddy amazing.

Who do we believe???
I'm feeling really sorry for these cops.

“In all my time working on Mercedes Benz cars, I’ve never come across this type of problem before,” the mechanic told the Herald Sun.

But the mechanic, who has been interviewed by detectives, debunked the claim and said Mr Ristevski had never raised the problem with him.

A Mercedes expert has previously rubbished claims the 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLK 200 coupe had a faulty fuel gauge.

Imagine having Mr Yusef on the stand!

I know now why there hasn't been an arrest.
What a bloody circus.

Something really wacky is going on...

It could almost seem like Anthony is trying to help his Dad remember how he came up with the fuel guage issue....

Like Reminding him when the issue first occured...to back up the story Borce came up with??.

Just throwing it out there.....what if AR isn't this crazed all over the place ice addict he so freely let the media portray...

What if this is all just a huge diversion to cause doubt and muddy the waters. ..

I dont know..????.... this case just gets weirder the longer it drags on...

I have to have faith in our boys in blue...have to!!!

But when Borce declines an interview because he says his phones are most likely bugged..... it sends thoughts in an array of directions...... I wonder if that was strategically intended. ...again. ..adding more intrigue. ...

Like rushing off to the lawyer to see what the autopsy results may mean...again...more intrigue. ..

Exactly, clarifying this with the mechanic makes his story look just as stupid.....dodgy......guilty......IMO. Perhaps intent of some of this drip feeding via media is meeting police goals for pressure/slip ups...it's certainly not working in terms of any admissions by anyone involved.

How do you sleep at night??

So AR told AC about BR taking his car to a mechanic and they referred him to someone else. Which is exactly what BR rang and told the mechanic when the female reporter was there. :scared: How many mechanics are actually employed there (garage)? Did another mechanic refer BR to someone else, not specifically the mechanic that was getting interviewed at the time BR rang? Possibly, yes! Interesting news nonetheless!

I thought it was the owner who was interviewed, not some mechanic? I have relied on him to know what he claims. :gaah:
