I'd be just as upset if my Mum were missing tbh. I'd be beside myself. I really don't think she had anything to do with it but I do think she talked herself into believing BR could notbhave done it. Self preservation? Denial?

So does that mean, SR knew? I think it does!!! Why would SR need comforting? Why was she so upset that BR had to lay down beside her :eek: the night KR was killed? That's way too soon to be THATTTTTTTTT upset!! KR could have walked back in through the door for all they knew---BUT, they KNEW, they KNEW KR was NOT coming back!! UGH!! MOO

He needs max sentence if he doesn't explain what happened. So mad he's still silent.

Fair enough! It's just that, this is the 1st night. Karen could have decided to go and spend the night by herself and have a quiet drink or visit someone unknown to SR for all SR knew. It just sounds strange to me. Besides, what would give SR the reason to be that upset about it? Her parents hardly fought/argued afterall. I don't know, it just seems really really strange to me, that she was that upset she needed comforting by her father! JMOO :)

He wasn’t consoling her he was manipulating her.

What did he say to her to make her so upset. He might have said your mother went to China on a one way ticket because she doesn’t love you and doesn’t want to be contacted by you blah blah. His selfishness wouldn’t surprise me.

Her aunt Patrice Grey gave a victim impact statement, telling the court: “I will never forgive him (Borce) for the lies, the deceit and the abuse... to bully and harass me... I am not the same person.”

You have no true remorse. Our lives will never be the same again because of you.”

“I hugged him standing over her body at her gravesite when he whispered - 'thank you for coming, it means a lot.'”

Karen’s younger brother, Steven Williams, said: “It was all about him. It was so difficult to lead my sister’s casket out of the funeral, knowing this person was on the other side.”
“I have a recurring dream. I see her in shopping centre, I grab her by the shoulders and say ‘Karen, where have you been? We’ve been looking for you’”

Borce Ristevski showed 'high degree of callousness' covering up Karen Ristevski's death, court hears

Karen Ristevski's family members have described the callous selfishness of her husband, who denied any involvement in her death for almost three years before confessing
A tearful Nevada Knight today spoke of hugging Borce Ristevski as they stood by the grave of her much loved cousin.

"It messes with me so much that he was there," she said.

She told the court she could not forgive him for only admitting to his role in her death "when it suited [his] case".

"That's not remorse, that's selfishness," she said.

She spoke of "the prison we have all had to live in for years now because of his silence".

Here it is! The cunningness of divide and conquer!

Ms Ristevski's aunt, Patricia Gray, broke down as she addressed the court.

Ms Gray spoke of how she had dedicated herself to trying to find Karen Ristevski after she was first reported missing — doorknocking and putting up posters, while also shopping, cooking and cleaning for Borce and Sarah Ristevski.

She spoke of having "great misgivings about Borce's accounts of Karen's disappearance".

Ms Gray said Borce Ristevki told her Ms Ristevski had always hated her, and tried to turn Sarah Ristevski against her.

She also told the court she was concerned at the time about the safety of Sarah Ristevski, who turned 21 just a few weeks before Karen went missing, and was living in the house with her father.

Ms Ristevski's nephew, Lachlan Williams, told the court he had a coffee with the killer not long after Ms Ristevski's disappearance.

He said Borce Ristevski showed "no concern about Karen's whereabouts" and only spoke about how her being missing would affect him.

In a statement, Mr Williams spoke of the pain he felt at that time.

"Not knowing is she dead, is she going to come home … did she suffer?"

Ms Ristevski's aunt, Marguerite Knight, told the killer: "Never ever did you say you missed Karen — it was always about you".

The prosecutor said Borce Ristevski had described his relationship with his wife as good.

"They would argue and scream over small things but no more than any other couple," Mr Kissane said.

The court heard Borce Ristevski told police: "The most I would have done was push her away during an argument".

The day after his wife's death, he told police that she had been missing since she left the house between 10–11:00am the previous day.

"That was all lies," Mr Kissane told the court.

"[Borce Ristevski] had killed her 24 hours beforehand."

Her mum was missing. Her car was at home, her phone off. No contact. Probably never happened before. I think her worry is 100% normal.
