Before Karen was murdered IIRC there were some swift business dealings, what I want to know is, was Karen aware of these and was it her really signature? Who would willingly transfer all your business takings into another business in someone else’s name?
Did Karen find out that morning in that letter or refused to sign a document and the porridge hit the fan?

Her shop was closed and stock was sold, the house had been transferred IMO into SRs name so there it is....the $1ml mansion $+$+$+ was the incentive for that glowing report.

If that toothless tiger called the Vic justice system delved an inch deeper they’d see it was premeditated murder.
Did he transfer assets without her knowledge?
I’d say SR was beneficiary to Karen’s will so I doubt the assets could be frozen and reimbursed as proceeds of crime.

Victoria's chief commissioner says police were frustrated with the sentence Borce Ristevski received for killing his wife, but said an appeal was the call of Director of Public Prosecutions.

Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said a number of police have spoken to him about the sentence.

"It is a complex system and it's never as easy as black and white as sometimes it appears, but certainly from the police side of things we have had a number of police that have indicated their frustration with that amount."

The chief's comments come as a Change.org petition calling for the Director of Public Prosecutions, Kerri Judd QC, to appeal Ristevski's jail term has attracted more than 70,000 signatures.

Victoria’s top cop says police are extremely upset over the length of wife-killer Boris Ristevski’s jail term, as 70,000 sign a petition to appeal.

Pressure on Victorian authorities to appeal Borce Ristevski’s nine-year sentence is approaching boiling point, with the state’s top cop revealing his officers remain “frustrated” and “upset” at the lenient term.

The case has generated public fury, with more than 70,200 people putting their names to a petition demanding state prosecutors appeal the sentence.

A Scotland Yard-trained criminal profiler and victim advocate has also weighed in on the debate, slamming Ristevski’s punishment as “unacceptable and unconscionable”.

Mr Ashton told 3AW Ristevski’s silence had been a source of frustration and said he would welcome a legislated new sentencing penalty that refused early release to convicted killers who refused to reveal how their victims died.

UK-based criminal profiler and victim advocate Laura Richards, who cut her teeth at Scotland Yard and specialises in murder, domestic violence, rape and stalking cases, said she was disgusted with the Ristevski sentence.

“What I read about the sentencing really angered me,” she said in a video titled “The Killing of Karen Ristevski” and posted to her Real Crime Profile page yesterday.

“Post-killing, he didn’t call for help, he didn’t try to revive and resuscitate her and he basically disposed of her body like he was putting out the trash.

“He even has the audacity to carry the coffin at the funeral and lie to their daughter and lie to the police continuously and repeatedly.

“And the judge decides to sentence him to nine years and he’s eligible for parole in six. I’m absolutely outraged about that. Is that all her life was worth?”

It looks as though the DPP has a bit of work to do to appeal Borce's sentence.
I have been reading through the steps that must be taken.

Or ... the DPP just may be waiting for the public outcry to calm down, and hope the matter goes away.

It will take persistence by the public through petitions and articles and appealing to politicians, and persistence by Karen's birth family in the same regard, to show the DPP that the public continue to be outraged at Borce's sentence (as well as the precedence this sets for cases of other spouse murders).

I hope that Kerri Judd thinks of Karen. How Karen's potential and life were stripped away from her. How the perpetrator of Karen's horrendous murder was given a paltry-and-common pathetic sentence, a sentence that must be appealed right away. For the good of all women in Victoria.

Well I imagine she had a lack of money if BR was siphoning funds from the shop into his newly created business. That in itself is warning signs to me.

One of the character referees is an accountant, and had worked with Borce and Karen at their shop. Wonder if police ever asked her if Borce controlled the money in the business, how Karen was paid, whether Karen was aware of the financial arrangements such as the new company. I would imagine Borce had got advice from someone like an accountant, to set up his new companies, and wind up the old.

a lawyer? Did she find out that they were working under BRs instructions and best interest?

My friend owns a business and found out their accountant was working in her partners interests and not hers because he was following the partners instructions.

The husband of missing Melbourne woman Karen Ristevski gained control of her business a few months before she disappeared, and the couple’s business history has been marked with bitter disputes and allegations of insolvent trading,

Company documents show Ms Ristevski’s company, Warrant Brands, is one of a series of business ventures in which she and husband Borce Ristevski have been involved, which include failed plans to sell pecan nuts to China and to sell a line of clothing using the name of former tennis star Mark Philippoussis.

Paperwork declaring Mr Ristevski had taken over from his wife as the sole director of Warrant Brands, which is linked to her Bella Bleu fashion label, was filed with the Australian Securities & Investments Commission in March.

Mr Ristevski previously ran the similarly named company Warrant, which was closed by the Victorian Supreme Court in September 2012 after legal action by Ms Ristevski’s former best friend, lawyer Natalie Bannister, and Ms Bannister’s then partner, art dealer Mark Norton.
