It seems there is a lot of speculation about the (likely) murder of Karen involving more than one person, if only as accessories.
I am of the opinion that only one person, BR, committed the crime and hid Karen's body. I am curious about how common it is for more than one person to be implicated in domestic homicide cases?
Am I alone in thinking BR acted alone?

I am agreeing with you.
Pardon me harping on about Baden-Clay but there are many similarities.

I believe Baden-Clay acted alone with the murder of Allison but his parents and sister protected and, I believe his family cleaned the site. They knew and even lied under oath.

I believe also BR acted alone but also had a protector after the fact.

The difference is, Baden-Clay wanted us to believe Allison walked 14klm and swan-dived of a bridge to her death. That was a possibility but Allison left scratches down his face. Bingo!

Whereas I know it's highly impossible Karen walked 50+ Klm lay down in a dark Masadonian forest, covered herself up with large logs and died. Bingo!

(snipped)

I'm going to pick at your language, Armchair Snoop. Do you mean, if she was pushed downstairs by accident? Or do you mean, if you push someone downstairs and they're injured or killed, the result was an accident? If the latter, I really dislike the minimization implied by the term.

Agree, pushing someone down stairs is no accident. This is how and why domestic violence is sometimes misunderstood. Pushing, hitting, punching, whatever it is, it is intentional to cause harm to someone. The intent may be to hurt and not kill, but definitely no accident. Moo

Civilised society will now call for a respectful interment. I will be watching, because up until now this woman had been 'disappeared', and she isn't invisible any more.

Do you think the family believes him innocent or guilty?

I think her family thinks husband did it. I think Borces family hope he didn't, but have doubts that they wouldn't speak of. I think his brother knows he did it cause he helped with cover up. Moo.

The phone pings were not in the 'black of night', but during the day, during the trip re the fuel guage that Borce 'forgot' to tell the police about.

RIGHT! Anyone remember what time of day?

I imagine there is a lot of denial going on.

When Allison disappeared we started hearing straight away hints of domestic abuse. And it was soon apparent that Gerard was a person of bad character and generally contemptible; well before I was convinced that he was a murderer. That isn't coming out here. Maybe there was abuse and nobody knew; or maybe BR killed Karen without there having been previous abuse. But the GBC comparison doesn't do for me what it does for you.

In fact, Borce's pings may have been in the dead of night!!

The news articles back much closer to the time of Karen's disappearance were very vague about the times of the phone pings.

They did state that Borce (once he remembered driving Karen's car) claimed he left home driving it about half an hour after Karen apparently went for a walk & returned by around 12:30pm.

I saw no published link drawn between the timing of the phone pings and Borce's account of when he drove Karen's car, but some people here understandably assumed that the pings happened during the window in which Borce claimed to be driving Karen's car. This seemed to confuse some people into thinking we were told that this is when the phone pings occurred.

Some media articles published since Karen's body was found have been more specific regarding the phone pings, saying that Karen's phone pings were "just hours after she vanished" and Borce's phone pinged another tower on the Calder Highway near Digger's Rest at night on the day he says she went missing.

This article https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp...-car-removed-or-fell-off-20170223-guk1y3.html from The Age is one example of where this is stated.

Off topic a bit but.... I'm surprised that women haven't decided to get rid of men yet. I'm mean, they keep killing you. The war on terror has significantly less victims than domestic violence.

Where is the real threat to you and your children's wellbeing?

"Ms Ristevski's mobile phone was traced to a tower on the Calder Highway near Gisborne, not far from Mount Macedon and 40 kilometres north-west of her family home, just hours after she vanished.
On the same night, Mr Ristevski's phone was detected by another tower on Calder Highway near Diggers Rest.

He reportedly told police he'd taken his wife's 2004 Mercedes-Benz coupe for a drive on the day she disappeared to test a faulty fuel gauge.

He said the fault rectified itself after he drove the car over a bump in the road near Calder Park Raceway so he returned home, according to reports."

There seems to be pings at night off Calder, which is at odds with his day time fuel gage story. Unless he went back at night.

BBM

Either that, or they have somehow determined that Karen was likely killed on the night of 28th June (as some of us have wondered), and Borce's phone pinged there that night too.

Maybe a neighbour heard a commotion on the night of the 28th ... or someone rang their home and Karen wasn't available ... or she didn't show up for an arranged dinner with a friend.

One thing is for sure, police have a lot of data on this guy and this murder.

Remember when Karen's car was caught on CCTV leaving the house, and again on other CCTV (I think)? I have the impression that was at night, though I could be wrong about that. They were trying to enhance the video and see who was in the car.

And remember this too? .....

POLICE are reportedly sending a piece of evidence to the United States they hope will help unlock the Karen Ristevski mystery.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman today refused to confirm to news.com.au what the evidence was its significance to the investigation. “We will not be providing a running commentary on the case.”
