A man has been charged with attempted murder and domestic violence offences after allegedly setting a Brisbane house on fire with two women inside.
The women escaped unharmed after flames engulfed the Queenslander home in Wooloowin, about six kilometres north of the CBD, about 6.15am on Sunday.
Investigators believe the blaze was started with accelerant in the garage, where the car exploded.

In every awful case of DV, men swarm in and comment 'not all men', 'what about the violence that women do to men'.
Yes, when several men a week are murdered by female partners, then you can talk about violent women.

That is what appears to me to be the case. If this person is charged with murder, as the report says, it means, he was there. At the crime scene, participating voluntarily, of his own free will, to set another mans wife on fire in front of his friends own small children.

That is what this charge of murder must mean. If it was anything else, it would be accessory, accomplice, person of interest, etc..

I have no idea how anyone could be persuaded to join in with B's kill fantasy. They must have talked it over, before. And during. Issuing instructions to each other, unless it was done in monk like silence, all the talking and planning done before..

That explains why Johnston was staggering away, on foot terribly burnt, from setting his own wife on fire, he was found in someone' s front yard, still smoking, his driver left him to it, when the bang went off..

Incredible.. He didn't know Kelly at all, she didn't know him.

What could possibly be the bond between these two men that ran so deep, so committed, so in tune on a matter that was so repulsive and repellent. ? It had to be more than 'workmates'....

I agree, but looks can be deceiving. I think this -you know who- guy must be a very good manipulator to pursue somebody into helping him. Remember the sister did a go-fund-me for him....because he was soooooo much in trouble. He was capable off convincing others he had it bad.....Yes, he was in trouble, having major problems...in his head IMO. Abusers should be forced into therapy by law after a first violation. It's so sad we women always find an excuse for this kind of behavior and it's getting worse over time. NO VICTIM BLAMING HERE. Just the "usual" relation dynamics in this kind of cases.... until it's to late. Men (sometimes women) who have this kind of tendencies have a responsibility to work on their problems. They must have a kind of twisted mind, not seeing that.
