I find it odd that the media haven't released the name of Kyles deceased friend? I would have thought by making his name and face public it may jog peoples memories??

Absolutely. The silence is deafening..........

This is an interesting statement from LE, considering they have been saying that Kyle's disappearance and the suicide are not linked.

“We need some information or for someone to come forward to give some closure to both families.”

http://www.northweststar.com.au/sto...r-missing-police-need-more-information/?cs=12

If they really weren't linked, why would he be saying BOTH families need closure??

Good catch, Isis!! It seems very unlikely the friends suicide is not linked doesn't it? I suppose he could have been depressed and this was the final straw but I'd have thought he would want to stick around to see if Kyle was found. It hadn't been that long since Kyle disappeared.

Yes it has been very quiet - but the funeral is tomorrow.

Yes. I wonder if more will be said publicly after the funeral? Perhaps it's a mark of respect in the community not to be discussing it before they've had the ceremony and he's cremated? Just a thought.....

None of this case makes any sense. Surely his friends know something or the partner of the deceased. I can't imagine Kyle's families distress at this time.

So I was just thinking about Kyle's case and realised that the only other person who is on record as having seen Kyle at around the time of his disappearance is the owner of Undilla Station:

Lindsay Miller, of Undilla Station, confirmed Kyle had been at his property on Friday.

He said he believed he saw Kyle about lunchtime, but said he could not comment further as police were investigating.

I assume that the police will be investigating him thoroughly..........

Sometimes people who hunt just leave carcasses where they are killed, attracting scavengers ... and possibly crocs. Could be very annoying.

Are we allowed to discuss the friend ?

Are we allowed to discuss the friend ?

I don't know. :dunno:

There has only been a funeral notice in the North West Star, not any general articles.

Maybe marly will clarify for us if the funeral notice counts as MSM that we can discuss.

New article ....

A FUND-RAISING site has been created to help continue the search for missing Mount Isa teenager Kyle Coleman.

The My Cause page ‘Search for Kyle Coleman’ has already raised $3420 with scores of people leaving messages of support as they donate money.

http://www.northweststar.com.au/sto...raising-funds-to-help-search-for-kyle/?cs=190

On the My Cause page it says ...

"Kyle's family and friends are still out searching daily and will continue to search until they can bring Kyle home."

Mount Isa doesn't sound like the safest place to live. This was written by the deputy editor of the NorthWest Star:
I MOVED to Mount Isa in October, unaware of any of the issues in the city.........Since being here I have heard more than a few personal accounts of people’s homes being broken into – when they’re asleep in bed........My fear hasn’t soured me on living in Mount Isa – it’s a great place to live, but I do fear I will become one of the residents I often hear about who wakes up one morning to find the house in disarray and items missing.

This happened to my friend there, but she actually woke up with a man in her room going through her things! She was terrified and made some little movements and noises like she was stirring in her sleep and he left. IIRC the police told her it was highly unlikely that he'd be found or that her things would be recovered. This was some years ago, maybe 7 or 8? She then got a large dog and added some security to her home. From what she's told me, I'd never live in Isa... Very rough town!!

A note to all. WS doesn't allow advertising of fund raising.

.

What! :what:

The 59-year-old was last seen at Mount Isa Mines on February 28 and was reported missing last Thursday.

Inspector Trevor Kidd said colleagues became concerned about Mr Mutimbe’s welfare when he didn’t show up for work last week.

His absence was also noticed at the Lake Moondarra Caravan Park where he lives.

Last seen 6 days after Kyle went missing.

Kyle's mate found dead 4 days after Kyle went missing.

What on earth is going on !!?!! :waitasec:

Lived at Lake Moondarra - where we think the local lads may gather to play in the mud in/on their vehicles, etc.
