I hope the sentencing judge doesn't fall for the "frail and sickly old man" routine. Also, Davies would be sentenced by 1984 guidelines not 2017 ones because of ex post facto.

Gregory Keith Davies' defence lawyer David Gibson appeared in the Supreme Court of Victoria on Wednesday morning asking for an extension of time before his plea hearing and sentence.

Davies, 74, who is still being treated and is in 'extreme discomfort', did not appear in court.

He is 74 now and murdered Kylie 32 years ago.

I think you have GKD confused with Cheryl Grimmer's alleged murderer. He is 63 and was said to be 16 at the time of her murder.

Sentencing delayed until late November. Prosecution stated that Kylie's family would be put under considerable strain - none of her immediate relatives still live in Melbourne and they'd already suffered economic stress by buying plane tickets for GKD's original sentencing dfate.
