A daily mail person just tweeted that a middle aged man has been escorted into building with high vis jacket. Police would not state who just that he is helping them with their efforts.
I have no idea how to copy and paste a tweet. But will work on it.

Man wanted over body in barrel holed up in Sunshine Coast unit
He would not elaborate on how police found Mr Sikorsky, but said he hoped for a "peaceful" resolution.

"I won't go into what's happening inside at the moment," he said.

"We have our specialists inside and we hope to resolve the situation peacefully tonight.

"We expect a peaceful resolution — it may take some time.

"I can't say how we came to locate the male here, what I can say is that the investigation has been ongoing from Logan for a couple of days now.

"I don't know the rationale behind why this person is here on the Sunshine Coast."

I bet that it galls the police that they have to accommodate this creeps demands.

Agree Jennifer17. This one feels like a galling sort. Just give yourself up already.

I wonder if his father thinks it is all 'rubbish' now.

Armed police officers are positioned on the roof of the apartment block where Zlatko Sikorsky is holed-up, and residents have been warned the siege could go 'all night'.

Specialist police have been attempting to negotiate with the 34-year-old from his unit on Juan Street in Alexandra Headland on Queensland's Sunshine Coast since about 3pm.

Detectives looking for missing teen Larissa Beilby, 16, found a body now believed to be the teenager stuffed inside a barrel in the back of a ute, understood to have been dumped by Sikorsky near Brisbane on Wednesday.

Sikorsky's father, John, arrived on the scene wearing orange hi-vis to assist police with their efforts shortly after 9.10pm.

Queensland Police Superintendent Darryl Johnson confirmed Mr Sikorsky was helping police.

He exited the apartment complex almost two hours after he entered, appearing happy and animated as he spoke to police, before driving away in a Toyota Hilux.

UPDATE 11PM: SUNSHINE Coast police boss Darryl Johnson says police are working to bring a peaceful end to a siege which has taken over suburban streets of Alexandra Headland.

Superintendent Johnson said none of the residents in the surrounding area were in any danger.

"I won't go into details about the negotiation process but it's obviously lengthy and we will take our time and make certain that no one is hurt during the whole episode," Supt Johnson said.
The fugitive yelled demands to negotiators from the Alexandra Headland unit, asking to speak to a woman and his father as heavily armed Special Emergency Response Team officers cornered him.

"I just don't want to get shot," he yelled, telling police to back off.
10.30PM: A female neighbour of the unit in which murder suspect Zlatko Sikorsky is holed-up has spoken exclusively to Sunshine Coast Daily photographer John McCutcheon.

Jackie Burnham told Mr McCutcheon that she was alone in her "dark" bedroom inside her unit with the doors locked.

She said she was not allowed to leave and was afraid.

"They sound pretty close," she said.

"I don't know what's really going on.

"I'm not allowed to get out."

THE unit where a fugitive wanted over the murder of a teenager is holed up is part of a holiday apartment complex booked out as Queensland’s lurcartive school holidays get underway.

Zlatko Sikorsky, 34, has been in a stand-off from inside a Headland Gardens unit on the Sunshine Coast with heavily armed police outside since Friday afternoon. He is believed to be in possession of a firearm and is considered “extremely dangerous”. Sikorsky has been at the centre of a manhunt since Wednesday when police attended an address in Logan to make inquiries about missing person Larissa Beilby, 16.
The complex, on Juan St in Alexandra Headlands, offers “spacious resort-style holiday complexes” and features 27 self contained units, according to the company’s website.

Apartments require a minimum two night booking with rates in school holidays starting from $500.

One witness said it appeared police were focusing their attention on an apartment above the ground floor. The complex offers several different types of rooms but it is unclear which one Sikorsky is currently inside.

It is not yet clear when or how Sikorsky came to be inside the apartment but Superintendent Darryl Johnson this evening told reporters the suspect was“contained”.

“We’re negotiating and we’re hoping we’ll come out with a successful resolution,” he said.

“We’re hoping to resolve the situation peacefully.”

I wonder if he has taken someone hostage in order to get inside their holiday rental? Could that be why police are taking so much time to try to resolve this peacefully? He is "contained" but is he alone in the unit?

I got up this morning and could not believe that he is still holed up. Does he think that they are going to let him go?

They were very clear that they believed he was alone in the unit. I'd pull up the post but the search function doesn't work at all for me anymore.

Sixteen-year-old Larissa Beilby told those close to her she was scared Zlatko Sikorsky, 34, would find out her real age and said he had a gun. She met and began a relationship with Sikorsky while living in transitional accommodation where she was seeking refuge from another violent man, The Courier-Mail reported. Chilling footage emerged on Thursday night showing the dramatic moment a tattooed armed suspect speeds and swerves through traffic with a body in the back of his ute.

The footage is on the link of him speeding on the highway.
