May I ask what is happening in August? Was that when Leisel went missing?

Yes, she went missing 19 August 2012.

Yes that was what I was referring to. Often at anniversaries police or the media talk about the case again. If the family would like any help contacting officials, like MPs, overseeing bodies, or media, I don't know, to ensure progress is still being made or coverage is given, I thought we might be able to help. I don't want to do anything that will jeopardise the family's position with police or anything, cause any upset.

Sandi Harvey nearly lost her little girl once before. She was five months pregnant, and started bleeding. Panicked, she stayed in bed for weeks. Four months later, Leisl Smith arrived in the world at 5.18am on April 2, 1989, a pink, scrawny little thing with a mop of dark hair.

‘‘My heart wanted to explode and scream out to the world that I had this beautiful gift I had been entrusted with,’’ she says.

Sandy thinks about that morning often, now. She relives it on Leisl’s birthday, but the memory pops into her head randomly, too — when she's driving down the road, or at the shops, or having breakfast.

Hi all,

I've just done a media interview for Missing persons week. Not sure when it will be live but it's most likely August.

As for the above: I'll leave my thoughts in my head.
If you could share our Facebook posts, support MPAN and whatnot that would be great. Still no new info.

Thinking of Leisl and her family and friends today.

Hi all,

The last few days have been difficult: I
guess while you might not be aware that the date is getting closer, your
subconscious certainly does.

Hope you are all well and that someone's Missing Person became a Found Person.

Hey Everyone,
No still no news.... Its' hard to believe that it's now been over 2 years since Leisl went missing... and I'm 2 years older, there has been a lot happening that she's still missing out on. I continue to hope that she will come home, or at least let us know that she is ok soon.
